Highly recommended - incredibly knowledgeable and engaging guide. Fascinating. Don't hesitate to book.
Brilliant Hiroshima walking tour On a Hiroshima day trip, our family of 5 wanted to better understand the extraordinary recent history of the beautiful city. What was the buildup to the bomb? What happened on the day? How did Hiroshima recover? What is its lasting legacy? This ~2 hour tour started at the peace memorial, meandered through the Peace Memorial Park, taking in the iconic atomic bomb dome building, the bomb epicentre, finishing at the excellent Peace Memorial Museum. Lead by our highly knowledgeable and friendly guide; Cva, he paused frequently to tell us not only the material history of what we were looking at, but the human side as well. Highly recommended to get the most out of a Hiroshima visit.

A Memorable Day with an Outstanding Guide/Person
Our Hiroshima tour with Masa was pure pleasure. Not only was it an excellent tour experience, but also an opportunity to spend our time with a wonderful person and make a new friend. Her thorough planing, kindness and thoughtfulness made our time together much more than just a tour. After several Whatsapp exchanges during the weeks prior to our tour, we had agreed to spend half of our time visiting the Hiroshima Memorial Museum, Park and surroundings, and the other half exploring the remarkable island of Miyajima. Masa had planned every detail to fit our interests and time, and she enriched our experiences by shaing her insights and knowledge throughout the day. It was a 10-minute bike ride for her to reach the cruise terminal from her home and she was right on time. We exited customs and joined her for taxi rides first to Miyajima ferry port and at the end of the day back from the Memorial Museum and Park, with ferry rides in between. We are so fortunate to have had Masa as our guide. The historic significance of our visit to Hiroshima made it one of our most anticipated stops of our cruise, and Masa exceeded every expectation. Not only did we have a wonderful tour and great learning experience, we made a new friend. It was difficult to say goodbye.

Amazing tour, Aimée and Patrick, you're the best!
Probably the best tour that we've had in Japan. Aimée and Patrick are not just amazing guides but also great people that we've enjoyed spending a day with. Biking around Hiroshima really is a great way to get to know the city, we've learned a lot of new stuff, saw a variety of places - honestly, it was unforgettable. Thank you, Aimée and Patrick, for making our trip just so much better. Don't hesitate if you're thinking of booking this adventure, it's so worth it! Also, cheers to the lovely New Zealand guys and girls that we've shared this experience with!

Very Worthwhile
This was a very comprehensive and thorough overview of Hiroshima starting with what came before WW2, the war itself, and the aftermath as a result of the dropping of the A Bomb. Our guide Kevin provided excellent historical context to the subject matter. He is very passionate about the information he is providing. Since we ended up being a very small group ( just my wife and I ), we also had the benefit of a little more perspective on how the people have moved on since WW2, specifically concerning how the local baseball team fits in. Overall a very wonderful experience dealing with a very difficult subject.

Many Hiroshima tours focus on the city’s World War II-era history, with guided visits to attractions like the UNESCO-listed Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome. But the city hasn’t let itself be fully defined by tragedy. A local guide can help you navigate modern Hiroshima and learn more about the city’s rich culture. Activities like tea ceremonies, food tours, and day trips to see the famous Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima can show you all that the city has to offer.
