Hungry Mary’s Beer and Chocolate Tour in Brussels
Highly recommend this experience for a first-time visit to Brussels! We tasted delicious belgian beers, chocolates, and other treats and visited local spots I guarantee we wouldn’t have found on our own. Mari was a wonderful guide and she made the whole experience fun, informative and authentic.

Very informative tour...
Very informative tour guide. You do get waffles, chocolate, fries, and Belgian Beer. The flights of beer are very generous and the beer is strong so do not drink it all if you have a low alcohol tolerance. We chose to have dinner at the bar where the tour ended. That worked well as the tour does not include dinner. I would also note that we got a choice between waffles and fries. I found the waffles to be a much better choice after sampling a few fries from another patron.

Highly recommend! Just book it!!
This trip was advertised as a group tour, although at the port we were picked up by our guide, Charlene, and the driver in a mini bus, just our group! It ended up a private tour for the rest of the day and we retuned to the ship on time. Charlene is a very experienced, humorous, local lady in Bruges and she started educating us on Bruges at the start of the drive out of the port! We learnt so much and thoroughly enjoyed the day. I think on our own we wouldn’t have noticed or known about our surroundings if we had just wondered around town ourselves. To top off the day, which was my birthday, Charlene surprised me with a little box of all sorted praline chocolates as we were heading back to the ship, which was very thoughtful and sweet of her! Another advantage is that this tour was 50% cheaper than the identical trip sold onboard the cruise ship - which is often a larger group tour. I will truly remember this birthday fondly for many years to come! Bruges is absolutely beautiful and historical, made even more enjoyable by the full blown sun we had all day, which is amazing for mid October!

A wonderful afternoon tour of Brussels, centered on food and history.
There are many historical tours available in Brussels to choose from and this one is true to its word. The tying of history, culture and food in a wonderful storytelling fashion is a tour I'd easily recommend. Our group was intimate in numbers with Ian being a terrific guide. Highly recommend.

Wonderful day
Francis was our guide. He showed up on time. and took us around the city. He took into account the types of sites that I wanted to see and gave us as much time as we wanted to see individual sites. He was very pleasant and made sure we were comfortable and not tired throughout the entire tour. I would definitely recommend Francis again.

Mavliud was an excellent...
Mavliud was an excellent guide for our second time in the area. We requested the majority of our day be spent in Jenn since we had been in Bruges the year before. He’s very knowledgeable about the area. The Canal boat ride was wonderful and the city is gorgeous. He even pointed out his favorite chocolate shop for us to make our purchases. In Bruges, he treated us to waffles and a beer tasting. It was a fantastic day. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great tour and food!
My tour was wonderful and the food was delicious. David was a good guide, it felt like I had a very knowledgeable local friend showing me around and sharing history and other interesting cultural facts. I was especially grateful, and impressed with the tour company, since they ran the tour even though I was the only person. I appreciate the integrity and professionalism to honor my ticket, I think other companies may have canceled. I would have been very sad if I had to miss this fun tour. I highly recommend it!

Enjoyable tour
This trip turned out to be a solo tour for me, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our tour guide was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and easy to listen to. I really enjoyed all of the information he shared with us, and everything was timed out perfectly.
I believe our tour guide’s name was Frank, and I would definitely recommend him. He made the tour enjoyable, informative, and very well organized!

Excellent Choice!
If you are looking for an incredibly fun experience where you also learn about the history and process of chocolate making, this is the workshop for you. Our teacher, Patricia, was extremely informative about each step as we created both milk and dark chocolate delicacies. She guided us with clear directions and a wonderful sense of humor. The protocols for cleanliness and safety were an important part of the experience. We each walked away with a scrumptious box of chocolates which we made ourselves and great memories to treasure from our trip.

Highly recommend
We had a great tour through the streets of Brussels with our guide, Laurent. He gave us a lot of information about the history and culture of the city, as well as tips on other things to do during our stay. This is one of the reasons why we always try to do a food tour on the day we arrive in a new city. The food was delicious and it was lots of fun.

Lovely way to spend a morning
We had a lovely couple of hours making chocolates. Chris was very friendly and explained everything very well. We were a small group which was nice as there was plenty of room and time for more questions. The hot chocolate was delicious and the ones we made will not make it home!

Wonderful!
Took a little longer for the people to organize the tour group and get us on the buses, but after that it was amazing! Bruges is my favorite gem in that area of Europe. The medieval charm is second to none. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and took us through all the great locations with stories to accompany them. The two hour break was great to get a bite to eat and wander the streets or shop. Overall this was the best one I’ve been on. Thank you!

Storybook cities, chocolate factories, charming countryside—Belgium may sound like a fairy tale. Let it sweep you off your feet, and experience the best of the small country on your own terms. Belgium tours get you to the highlights without the hassle, with day trips to Ghent, Bruges, or Antwerp from Brussels or trips with a knowledgeable guide to World War One battle sites. If you are primarily interested in the chocolate, though, there’s plenty for you as well—walking tours featuring local chocolatiers, workshops where you craft your own truffles, or tours that bring beer and cheese to the table as well.
