The Royal Cairns which are found in the Balmoral Castle estate, are a collection of stone monuments, erected by Queen Victoria to commemorate family milestones. The most prominent and famous is the 50-foot-high Prince Albert’s memorial Pyramid, a large granite structure and the only pyramid in Scotland. Alister was an amazing tour guide. Very fun and had some funny stories and bits of information. Would highly recommend Little Fish tour company for this tour. The castle was incredible, so much to see and do. Could easily spend the whole day there. Definitely be there for the 1pm “firing”, that was really cool.

History of castle was great. We were only able to get tickets to the castle because via tour actually had some otherwise it was sold out. David was funny and knowledgeable. Note that it is only a tour of the outside of the castle very few inside places to visit once you get there If it is at all cold dress warm!
