An absolutely worthwhile...
An absolutely worthwhile way to see and experience North Yorkshire! If you're trying to decide between this and another similar tour, I can confidently say that going with a small group (max 7 people) was worth it. Greg is owner/operator and was a great guide and host. Highly recommend this tour!

Lady Peckett's bloody brilliant tour
We were lucky enough to be guides by the cuttingly witty Lady Peckett for our tour and she did not disappoint.
Her stories were not only genuinely informative, but she portrayed them in a captivating, if cheeky, way - her ability to engage and recall with individual members of the audience was impressive and added to the fun.

Brilliant!
We had the absolute best time on the Shadows of York tour last night. I went with my friend and our six kids (three each), and our guide, Dan, was phenomenal.
He was incredibly engaging, funny, and informative, bringing the history to life in a way that kept the entire group captivated. Dan is a massive asset to Shadows of York—the 90 minutes didn't feel long enough and we all could have listened to him for much longer. Highly recommend booking this!

Our tour Guide Mark was...
Our tour Guide Mark was at the meeting place before time. He quickly organised people for their seats and we left just before the tour time. Mark was very knowledgeable and gave very clear information about the places we were travelling through. He was very knowledgeable. Mark ensured all passengers were comfortable at all times. It was a fabulous tour and we saw a lot of different things that you wouldn’t know about if you didn’t take the tour.
I would certainly recommend this tour and Mark was a great guide.

Real good
It was really good very entertaining, my child is 11 yrs and most of the other children were 6/8 yrs so very good for younger children but bit boring for my child he needed older stuff , I would definitely recommend for younger kids it was great, do it to keep the kids entertained and tired after the walk.. really good in my opinion

Lovely, informative, and fun
Beautiful tour through the North Yorkshire Moors to Whitby seeing lovely sites along the way. Ancient Byland Abby ruins, St Gregory’s Minster, and Blakey Bank overlook were all beautiful. David was extremely knowledgeable of the history and made the day very enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

First time in a dungeon,...
First time in a dungeon, wasn't really sure what to expect. It was out of the comfort zone booking, but we truly enjoyed.
The performances and entertainment was absolutely amazing, kids aging from 7-14 got really engaged. The show wasn't only entertaining, it was informative too, we learn few new facts on local history.
Great performances, if you enjoy good sense of humour and don't take offence easily, would really recommend..

Great Fun
Molly our guide was Brilliant, very interesting and fun.. Told us about so much history of York and Harry Potter too of course, we played games, answered questions. There was only 5 on our tour including Molly, we all laughed a lot.I would definitely recommend this tour to anybody. I've recently started booking up for walking tours in any new town or city I visit now. I've even started doing walking tours in my own city too.

So Glad I Went - Fantastic Day Trip
Fantastic excursion. We spent hours looking at - driving by and sometimes stopping and walking around - and photographing the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Ben A was a wonderful tour guide, very knowledgeable about the Yorkshire Dales and about “All Creatures Great and Small.” I have wanted to visit the Yorkshire Dales for many years, since the BBC originally aired “all creatures great and small.” And now I’m so glad to have visited. The area is as beautiful as it looks on television.

History with a difference
A great way to take in some history and be entertained at the same time. Pleased we did this on our first night in the city, a good introduction.
Daffyd was theatrical and projected his voice, so I had no problems hearing although I wear hearing aids.
Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxed tour.

Excellent walking tour with a fantastic guide
Dave was phenomenal. He had such expert knowledge of the area and took us to places that we would have never found without him. Dave’s knowledge was unmatched and he even gave us options for further travel around England. He is a local who is passionate and cares about creating a realistic experience for visitors. He knows all of the locals, introducing us to them, effectively making us feel part of the community. For those who want to learn about the true history and culture of York, Dave is the person to see.

A fun time at York Cocoa Works
Began with an informative talk on the chocolate making process, including an opportunity to taste plain and milk chocolate before making own bar to take home. Group size quite small so not waiting around for a long time. Had a choice of chocolate type, toppings and moulds. Found using a hair drier was a surprisingly quick and efficient method to melt the chocolate. Could collect finished chocolate bar after a 30 min wait. Very well organised and an enjoyable experience,
