What sets our desert journey apart is our deep commitment to authentic Tunisian culture. You won’t just visit the Sahara; you will live it. This experience seamlessly blends a serene 4-hour camel trek through the silent dunes of Douz with rich tribal traditions. Watch locals demonstrate the ancient art of sand-bread baking, enjoy an intimate multi-course dinner around a roaring campfire, and falling asleep to live folklore music. You will be in nature for 7 days, you will enjoy the calm and the beautiful landscapes, you will discover a varied fauna and flora. In the morning you wake up quietly, to watch the sunrise, you have breakfast with a hot cake cooked on the embers then the camel drivers load the dromedaries. You start a morning walk, around 10am you make a 20 min stop. To eat a small cake, then you continue at the pace of the dromedary. Around noon, the caravan settles, the camel drivers look for wood and start to prepare a good lunch for you. An hour's break after lunch, then you resume walking, once tired you have your dromedary chosen by you. You travel between 12 and 15 km each day. An hour before sunset, the Camp is set up, the animals are unloaded, hobbled and released into the frame. A large fire is lit and a hearty dinner will be made. Then singing, music and dancing around the fire.
