The number one highlight of my Stockholm trip

This was absolutely the number one highlight of everything I did during my stay in Stockholm. The combination of high-speed sections and the quieter parts through the archipelago was fantastic. During the slower sections, our guide told us interesting stories and explained a lot about the surroundings, which made the experience much more than just a fast boat ride. The balance between speed, sightseeing and storytelling was perfect. I enjoyed every minute of it and it was absolutely worth the money. I would definitely recommend this tour!

A day full of learning!

We were fortunate to have three guides in this tour. In normal circumstances, this is not the case. It happened due to some last minute changes. But it has become a highlight of our tour. All three guides were knowledgeable and extremely helpful. It is a must tour if you are visiting Stockholm. The tour gives a real perspective of Viking’s history and their culture. A visit to the beautiful and serene city, Sigtuna, is very calming. And then travel to the educational city, Uppsala, having the biggest cathedral in the Nordic region is a great experience.

We had a great food tour and experience with Iggy. The food was excellent at all the stops, the Swedish meatballs were better than those we had at a high end restaurant the night before! A lovely tour with August in August!😂

August was a great guide! Just the two of us on a rainy day. He is a historian & a foody. And he showed me where to pick up the Ferry to go out to swim in Grinda! I got the layout of Stockholm & and lovely City Hall on Wedding Day! I was even able to find my way to my hotel with no GPS. Great morning!

The tour guide provided a well thought out historical perspective, along with the geography and cultural aspects of the archipelago. The “Fika time” including a tasty Swedish pastry and coffee, which was also included as part of the tour, was a fun Swedish experience. Our tour guide spent time answering our questions and was very welcoming.

Keep up! You won’t be disappointed.

Keep up! Reese is a ghost tour rockstar. We have taken many ghost tours via Viator and I can adamantly say this was the best one, hands down. If you have a chance, traipse around Stockholm’s Old Town with Reese. He did not disappoint. I would give this tour more than 5 stars, if I could.

Great way to spend an hour.

The crew are very enthusiastic and get right into it. The tour leader had lots of great information and it was a very pleasant time. There are general knowledge competitions, karaoke and lots of laughing. If you just want one of those full of information tours with no fun or humour, don't take this one.

Gabriel's Vasa

We began our 3-hour tour with a stroll around the Old Town accompanied by interesting tales of Stockholm history and culture narrated by our extremely well-informed guide, Gabriel. He made history come alive with detailed and entertaining stories of “how it used to be.” Our walk was followed by a boat ride to Djurgården where we visited the maritime Vasa Museum to explore the warship of the same name that sank in 1628 on its maiden voyage. Had our schedule not been so tight we might have also visited many other museums including the outdoor museum Skansen, located nearby. This is also where locals frequent the Gröna Lund amusement park. Indeed, upon arrival, as the boat approached our destination we could hear the screams of roller coaster riders experiencing a momentary, but expected, thrill. Whether you visit the Vasa Museum on your own or with a private tour guide (as we did) it is a MUST see. However, I believe the $102.84 per person price tag for a personal tour guide gave us a much more thorough understanding of what happened and why, a truly fascinating look into a brief time in Stockholm’s history. There are a few lessons to be learned here.
