This was such a fun...
This was such a fun adventure. Our guide Giovanni was awesome! Took us to three different waterfalls where we were able to swim relax and take many pictures. Then he prepared a traditional Belizean lunch right on the pontoon for us. Grilled chicken, sausage, veggies, potatoes, beans and homemade tortillas. There were refreshments too. It was a full day tour surrounded by nature and wildlife and we enjoyed it very much.

This was a really cool...
This was a really cool experience and totally worth it. The tour was 3 hours long but it was plenty to see the Mayan ruins. Xunantunich has so much history and our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about he Mayan culture. The views are also beautiful. We also saw spider monkeys and Iguanas.

WOW! Take this tour.
WOW! An amazing experience and very professionally managed. The booking was very easy with Viator. Maya Walk reached out right away with information. It was easy to communicate with them.
On the day our large group was divided into three with guides Hugo, Jr, and Andy. We had Andy and he was awesome. He was very clear with instructions and very patient helping us navigate the cave. He really made it easy. He also had good knowledge of the history and artifacts. Hugo gave very clear instructions on the bus to the cave so by the time of arrival it was well understood what to expect. Mr T expertly drove the bus. Brittany provided a great lunch afterwards.
The time wizzed by and we enjoyed talking with the people in our small group and just gawking at being in an amazing place.

Best tour guides ever!
My grandson and I had the best tour with Marvin and Leo! The history of the Mayans was so interesting. I learned so much. After a delicious lunch we started our trek up the hill for the cave tubing. I'm 75 years old and definitely not in the best of shape, but Leo stayed with me and encouraged me all the way up the hill. Once we got in the water it was everything I had imagined. The water felt great and the terrain was beautiful. Leo pointed out the different birds we saw. We then entered the cave and it was awesome! This was definitely the highlight of my trip to Belize.

Yes, book this you won’t regret it!
Yes, you should do this. Loved it! We were with a group of 5 total, plus our guide. The ATM cave was the first stop. Included a 30-40 minute nature walk with some river crossings to get to the entrance to the cave. Be prepared to get fully soaked! Once we got into the cave, it started with a short float/swim and then it was walking around up and over the limestone to go deeper into the cave. Very cool experience to climb on the rock, slide down the natural water slide and shimmy through tight spaces. Our guide was super helpful for anyone that was a bit nervous or hesitant In some of the more questionable sections. We felt safe the whole time.
Upon completion of the ATM cave exploration we had a chance to change into a dry outfit (so pack a full change of clothes and shoes). And lunch was waiting for us including a dry towel and waters. Our guide was knowledgeable and full of information and stories.
After eating lunch and changing, we got back in the van and headed to Xenantunich where we got another informative tour around. We did climb to the top, and there are no guard rails so if you’re afraid of heights, well let’s just say, you will be tested! It was very laid back here though and so no pressure to go all the way up.
Full Sun here so hat/sunscreen is smart.
Safety- we left our things in the van to go into the cave but the driver stayed back with it, so no issues.
The walk into the Mayan ruins was short, so easy to go in with a backpack with phone/water/sunscreen.
Yes bring extra clothes including socks and shoes. Sandals were fine for me for Xunantunich but some may prefer sneakers to climb in.

Outstanding
Eddy our guide was so incredibly knowledgeable. Not just on the site but all of Belize culture. It’s fascinating. You can tell when you are out there that Mayawalk tours is a big step up from all the other tour companies. Better bus, lunch, guides, everything. This is a must do experience

You won’t regret it!
Wayne was our driver for the day and he was great! He provided us with information and entertainment on the drive. My kids loved him!
Hector was our guide for the tour! He was also top-notch. Full of information and dad jokes. He engaged our kids and encouraged them through the cave. There was a party of two who was with our group- the woman was in her 60s/70s and some impaired mobility. Hector encouraged her to join the cave exploration when she wanted to sit it out. He helped her over and through every obstacle we came upon.
Lunch afterwards was also SO GOOD! I would encourage everyone to book their tour with this group!

Best part of Belize trip
This was the best part of our whole trip to Belize! Giovanni was punctual and knowledgeable. He is also an amazing cook— our lunch on the pontoon was delicious! We enjoyed starting our day at the Mayan ruins before heading to the pontoons on the river. The whole day was more beautiful than we could have imagined! We enjoyed our time so much that we added on a sunset horseback ride with Roberto at their family’s property in the jungle. Wish we could relive this day again!!!

Unforgettable Day in Tikal
We took a day trip to Tikal from San Ignacio with my parents. Our tour guide for the day was Sergio who made the trip really special!!! We loved the visit to the Tikal Mayan site. The history is breathtaking and truly a wonder of the world. The lunch that was provided was also delicious. We would definitely recommend this trip. Thank you Sergio!!

Tikal in April from San Ignacio
The tour started in San Ignacio our driver was very nice and walked us through the border and customs section in Belize. Prior to separating he pointed out our Guatemalan tour guide from a distance. Once through customs and border checks our Guatemalan guide Levi walked us through the same process on the Guatemala side. Once we arrived at Tikal Levi was very knowledgeable and his passion for the history of the site made the almost 6 mile walk with almost 71 flights of stairs seem less intense. The trip was amazing to see both uncovered and still yet covered historical structures. Our guide also walked us through the area where celebrations and cultural Matan events are still held to this day. The provided meal was phenomenal after so much walking.

A super fun day trip!
This was SO much fun. We loved swimming around in the cave and learning about its history. Our guide Angel was great! We really enjoyed him. The walk to put in was about 40 minutes, and pretty flat, we had to carry our own tubes, which wasn't hard at all, just putting it for info. Wear water shoes that are comfortable to walk in and probably ones with backstraps, there are rentals available near put in. It was nice to not have to be in a huge group. We saw some bats, toucans and other birds on the river. Lunch was delicious and we had a little time to look at the souvenir shops around. We did see a few coatimundi in the parking lot area which was fun! Bring your own towel! We had some time to dry on the sun cause other people in our group zip lined. But we would have been pretty damp still!

Jungle Adventure
We were picked up near our hotel and taken to a farm outside San Ignacio. At the farm, we met Roberto and his family. There was just Roberto, my daughter (adult) and me on the tour. The horses were saddled and ready to go.
The horses were healthy and well cared for and the saddle and bridle were also in good shape so we felt very comfortable.
The day was incredible. We rode through the jungle, past a farm and up and down large hills to great lookout points. We stopped at a cave for a wonderful lunch that Roberto’s wife had prepared for us. We spent time in the cave exploring and finding pieces of Mayan history. Roberto was extremely knowledgeable and provided a lot of information about the area, agriculture, and Mayan culture. We rode for quite a few hours and enjoyed our experience immensely.
I would highly recommend this tour.
