Caracol is a must to visit. I enjoyed the drive through the many villages to get there. Was able to see how the people live.

Caracol was such an amazing site to explore! It wasn't nearly as crowded as other sites. We only passed 1 other group! Our tour guide, Luis Juan, had a wealth of knowledge to share. He pointed out a lot of cool facts along the drive. The drive went fast and the road was well maintained. He was great at answering all of our questions, and he made sure that we saw all of the ruins possible. The road was closed to get to the Rio Cave so he gave us the option to walk the easy 30-40 minutes to go see. We all chose yes! It was a short tunnel of a cave and he let us know that. It was still worth going to see and neat to walk through! Finishing with the Rio Pools felt refreshing and great in the heat. Highly recommend this tour with all you get to learn and see!

We really enjoyed the entire trip as a group of teens and adults! Our guide Angel was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Our guide, Louis, was absolutely amazing! His extensive knowledge of agriculture, insects, history, and the culture of Belize—and specifically Caracol—was truly impressive. He made the experience both educational and enjoyable, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Additionally, the company was highly responsive and professional throughout the entire process.

Luis was a great tour guide...very accommodating and knowledgeable. We enjoyed seeing the ruins and got to see some wildlife as well. Lunch was simple but good. The pools were nice to swim in. Our only complaint was not getting to go the cave due to poor road conditions. Not the company's fault, but it seems like that has been the case for awhile, so it would have been helpful to have an updated type description. Overall, we had a great day!

Leo was our tour guide. He was actually worked in Caracol archeology site in around yr2000. So he explained to us what they did and what they found . He also told us the relationship between Caracol, Tikol and Chichen Itzu. He also told us about the history of Belize and the relationship with Mexico and Guatemala. I learned a lot from him

Our guide on this tour was Leo, whom we had already had for our Lamanai trip. He is a great guide, a great source of information and a great conversationalist. If he happens to be your guide -you’re in luck.
The Caracol tour is a must for everyone. The ruins, the rain forest, the animals, you’ve got to experience it. Don’t miss it.

Our guide was great! What an interesting day! I felt like I was on a private tour. Caracol was very difficult to reach so I was thankful we had such a competent driver. The entire ride and experience he was giving us history of Belize and recent political situations. Very informative.

We booked a private experience and our guide Leo was SO knowledgeable. He had been part of the archeological excavation team in the 90’s and in addition to sharing his vast knowledge of Maya culture and history he also shared his personal experiences as part of the team working in the Barrio area. Beyond that he also gave a wonderful cultural and historical tour on the drive to and from the site.
About the drive-we came to Belize thinking that we would not be making the visit to Caracol as we had read a number of descriptions of the trip as a 4 hour drive each direction. Turns out that was the case as recently as a year or two ago. However there is a major road improvement underway that reduces the travel each way from San Ignacio to about 2 hours.
The climb to the top of Caana was strenuous but manageable for a couple of moderately fit “senior citizens” and truly a highlight of our time in Belize

Leo, our guide, did a wonderful job of adding background and data to the visual experience of Caracol. His expertise included spending three 6-month seasons working with the archeologists at the site. Imagine a city of up to 150,000 people living in a jungle over 1,000 years ago that built 30,000 structures, some over 100 feet high - on stone platforms, with the biggest built of carved stones that took many people to even move horizontally, much less getting them up over 100 feet vertically! We were also entertained by the spider and howler monkeys at the site.

Our group enjoyed our day trip to the ruins.
Leo, our guide, was so very knowledgeable, interesting and personable. I would recommend the tour to any one visiting the area.

Our knowledgeable guide/driver Bryton gave us a rewarding full day of experiences. A clamber into the Rio Frio cave on the trip out to Caracol was a sleeper highlight, Caracol is the most fascinating Mayan site you’ve never heard of, and a hike to a dip below Big Rock Falls was a refreshing, uncrowned dessert.

Good full day trip here. Included stops at the Rio Frio Cave, Pools on Rio with option to swim, Big Rocks Falls (waterfall), nature walk around Caracol, and plenty of time to explore Caracol. Journey to the site from San Ignacio is paved half the way with the last half along a dirt-clay road. Really enjoyed the trip, a mixture of sites that I would not have seen doing separate bookings. Guide was really fun and you could tell he enjoyed his work which made it more fun and interesting for the group.

Sal was a good tour guide. He was knowledgeable about the ruins and the history of Caracol. I chose 3 stars because the ride was terrible. It's a very long ride on a bumpy dirt road. Had we known about this part, we would've skipped this excursion. We were all a little car sick once we finally stopped. A delicious lunch was provided. The waterfall was much needed at the end of the day.

The ride to Caracol wasn't too bad. The ruins are amazing and swimming in the waterfall after was also great.

We had a really fabulous time on this tour. Our guide, Selwin, is of Mayan decent and is very knowledgeable and provided all kinds of great information. It takes over two hours to get to Caracol and the road is very bumpy but once out there, it's quiet and feels like a very authentic, rather than touristy, archaeological site. We were a little rushed at the end and did feel like we didn't have enough time at the largest buildings. The site closes at 2:00 and it's hard to fit everything in with the time allotted. The tour included a visit to a cave and swimming at a waterfall. Be sure to bring your swimming suit and and a towel. Pack bug spray and sunscreen as well.

Excellent tour. The guide was part of the excavation project in the '90's and had lots of excellent insight into the archaeology and history of the area. On the return trip, he was flexible on our visit to a local cave and the Rio on Pools swimming site. The driver provided the opportunity for a stop en-route, which was appreciated. The vehicle was clean and in good shape considering its arduous daily journey. The driver took his time with potholes, making for a very pleasant ride given the rough circumstances.

Fantastic day out with a friendly knowledgeable guide!

The pyramids were awesome but the tour guide didn't want to climb the pyramids so he sat at the bottom of them. Our vehicle broke disown and had to be scorted by the military to caracol, lucky for us the guide called and another vehicle was there within 2 hours

Caracol is impressive. To order, guide requested in Spanish but although native Spanish, the guide preferred explanations in English...
