Top Rhodes Day Trips

A good day out as a solo traveller. Pick up was seamless, the coach journey itself was comfortable. The coach driver was lovely and funny. We were given an information leaflet about Lindos which included a map and highlighted things worth seeing. We were given the opportunity to take photos of Lindos from an elevated perspective about 3 minutes away from Lindos itself. I severely underestimated how much effort was required to reach the acropolis of Lindos but it was very much worth it once I reached the top. The departure time was reiterated several times and we left Lindos in a timely manner.

You do need to go to the ticket office to pick up the tickets and information. This is situated in Rhodes town, which isn't a long walk from the Old Town, where we stayed. But it does mean you walk there (on the day), then come all the way back plus a little further to pick up the boat in a different harbour. So do allow a bit of time, or just send one person to pick the tickets up on the day to save on the leg work. But once on board, there was a bar and toilets. If you want to sit on top of the boat, again, get there early or you'll be disappointed. It's a beautiful trip and passes close to the Turkish border, with stunning scenery. A tip that they do pass on to you, is to ensure you phone is on Airplane Mode for the trip on the boat because it will connect to a Turkish service and charge you 50 euros! So be aware. Once in Symi, 4 hours is definitely enough, so don't worry about that. You will have enough time to do the shops, walk around the very pretty harbour, have a meal etc before you get back to the boat. All in all, its a great day and the service provided was solid.

Our young man was a fantastic tour leader. He was knowledgeable had excellent communication skills was very passionate about the history of Rhodes drove us from one end to the other, even secured away for us to go into a private church, which was really a great detail of our trip. I would highly recommend this young man who is originally from Albania for any cruise for RHODES because he does just a fantastic job he really is a 10.
