This was a tour that was really well worth it. Our guide Alexis did an amazing job of educating us on the history of Rhodes seen through the architecture of the old town and the new town. Alexis made the tour really engaging by involving us and bringing a lot of humor to his presentation. All in all highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get a deeper look at Rhodes.
Alexis is an absolute master of his craft and a truly magnificent storyteller! Exploring both the modern and ancient sides of Rhodes Town with him was a highlight of our trip. He brought history vividly to life, weaving together the rich tapestry of the Byzantine, Ottoman, Turkish, and Roman eras. Beyond just pointing out physical landmarks, he shared the deep cultural significance behind every stone. As a wonderful bonus, his depth of knowledge seamlessly reinforced what our children had just studied in school, making it an incredibly rich educational experience. He guided us to hidden gems—including unforgettable details at the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of St. John—that we completely missed on our own. To top off a perfect tour, he treated us to a pause at a charming traditional Greek coffee shop, where we shared great conversation and laughter. Alexis didn't just show us Rhodes; he gave us a memorable, warm, and priceless family experience.

We did the tour with Alexis and it was great. Initially all the Rhodes history on the new city, with the different reigns and founders. Then moved into the medieval city which is full of interesting history. Walked it completely and had some coffee / teas at local shop. At the end we had some free time at the medieval city.
Alexis was an excellent guide around the old town, he was informative and funny and kept us in the shade when he could which was very considerate. Our coffee stop was very nice as well.
Very informative tour. The tour guide definitely was an expert and was passionate about the topic and as a person who loves history, I enjoyed it very much. Alexis was a true professional and I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in stimulating their brain and getting out of the all-inclusive resort bubble
Excellent small group walking tour! It ended up being our family plus one other, which was a very pleasant size. Alexis brought the city alive through commentary on its history, architecture, and people. We learned a lot about Rhodes, ancient, historical, and modern, and we also stopped to try some local treats. Would absolutely recommend this tour!
Our tour guide Alexis was excellent. He was informative and knew the history of the area very well. We visited numerous historical sites while he discussed all of the various Greek, Italian & Ottoman cultures meshed into the city's architecture and culture. He also provided great dining and dessert recommendations that were excellent!

The walking tour is rich in history from ancient times to the changes that took place in 1912 thru the WWII up to today. It provides a great perspective that Rhodes is much more than a fun in the sun island. Alexis our tour guide had so much knowledge and so willing to answer questions. If you enjoy learning about the history and events that shaped Rhodes this is the tour for you.

Amazing tour , Alexis was a great guide and I learned so much Freon this tour, many things that would have been hard for me to learn otherwue. The context he provided also added a lot of depth to the visit of the town of Rhodes as it helps you put things into perspective and understand what you are looking at highly recommend the tour
Absolutely excellent. Off season, just the 2 of us, high season max, 10. George, our Guide, walked at a comfortable pace, knew everything about the past and current city, showed us places no other tour went to as we saw no other groups, and took us to a local Cafe for desert and coffee which he stated he does for every tour. A great city made better with this tour.
What a walk. I learnt so much and did not realise the full history of Rhodes. George was an amazing guide especially as it was the quiet season but I saw every thing. I would not hesitate to recommend the tour.
I can’t remember the name of the guide but he was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and funny! We were small group of people and I enjoyed a lot! Only thing: the time of the tour! Which was started morning and ended midday and it was very hot! Sometimes impossible to escape from the sun! Book it for afternoon/evening if it is possible.
Good way to walk around town and understand the history of the place. I ended up being the only one in the tour so I got a personal guide!
