Our private tour with Aga as our tour guide was the absolute best way to see the beautiful island of Rhodes, Greece!! Aga was energetic, flexible, and so knowledgeable about the history. He stopped for an energy drink, gave us euro change so we could use the public bathroom, and took us to the best picture spots around the island. After buzzing around and going to Lindos he took us to a real local seafood restaurant right on the water with NO crowds! The food and wine were excellent. The baked feta starter was to die for. A perfect day excursion that was relaxing and fun.

Fantastic tour of Rhodes. Our guide Nicholas went above and beyond to show us his beautiful island. He took us to see beautiful views and ancient acropolises. We went to Lindos and climbed up the acropolis. Wonderful views from up there.

Nicholas Z. was an amazing guide. Really made us feel like family. Picked us up right by our ship and immediately started showing us all the best highlights of the island. We loved everything. He customized it to what we were interested in and made sure to show us all the hidden gems. Took pictures of us at all the beautiful locations and took us to a fantastic little sea side restaurant. We had a very nice, private tour in Rhodes. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to customize our tour. The weather was warm and sunny and there were no crowds. The tour was fabulous except for a stop at a jewelry shop that we were not interested in.

Tour around Rhodes port after departing the cruise was fine. The 3+ hours driving and stopping at a leather mfg and carpet mfg was not worth it if you are not interested purchasing such goods. We got to spend only ONE hour+ in Lindos. It was insufficient. Our tour guide was Knowledgeable and personalble. 5 Stars.

You have booked the 5 hour duration which includes a 1 hour Rhodes city tour and trip to Lindos. The village of Lindos is situated 55 km away and our priority is a safe trip so higher speed cannot be offered. On the island of Rhodes there aren't any carpet factories and I believe you have mistaken this with any other experience at another cruise stop. In Lindos you have a more than 1 hour stay to explore the village. In case you need more time you can always book the 7 hour duration of the tour or simply ask your driver on the day of the tour to extend the duration. We are very FLEXIBLE to any needs of our clients.

Private is always better. Nice lunch break as well. Aga was a great guide and went at our pace. Supervisor checked on us part way through tour to ensure all was well. Use Viator frequently.

We found Rhodes to be the very best of all the Greek Islands we have visited, including Spetses, Patmos, Santorini, Mykonos, and Corfu. The history was terrific, and our tour guide's knowledge of the island and the area was impressive. One of our group required his use of a cane. Our guide was very solicitous of him and his needs. It made a huge difference to all of us, especially his getting an electric cart driven by a friend to get us around Rhodes City. His friend was equally helpful and kind. A truly memorable excursion.

We took the "Best of Rhodes and Lindos private tour" with Viator. The tour was great. We had a group of seniors, friends and family, that were on a cruise. The van was comfortable for the eight of us. The driver was remarkable, easy to understand and very knowledgeable. We stopped for pictures in many places. Also stopped for wine and olive oil tasting. We enjoyed the pottery making.

The whole tour was exceptional. The town amd acropolis at Lindos was amazing. We loved seeing all the beaches along the coast and hearing about life in Rhodes. The city tour was also very informative and enjoyable.
Our guide Aga was fantastic giving us both the history and current details of the island. His passion for Rhodes is wonderful. He also changed the tour a little to suit us and we missed all the crowds which was much appreciated. Would recommend this tour to all.

We trusted Viator would have known the site in Lindos gets extremely busy with tours and would have headed straight there prior to anything else to beat the massive crowds and heat - this did not happen.
Also we had asked about getting tickets in advance the day prior and that question was never answered. We arrived to crazy long lines in the am with no tickets leaving us debating to climb 200 steps in constant line stream of people and intense heat without a skip the line ticket. Other Viator tours sent us a link to pre purchase tickets. This one should have responded after I asked if we had tickets already or sent a link to purchase online. Afterwards it was too late so climbing up about 75 steps and all those already coming back down told us there was an extremely long line to purchase tickets we decided to turn around feeling defeated. This was a private driver we set up and we knew was not a tour guide but for almost 500 dollars we felt they should have at least had a water for the 3 of us or been able to explain about getting tickets prior to the day when we asked as we would have prepaid for them. After we asked to go to Lindos beach but were told it was too crowded and offered to be taken to another “nicer” cove no where near as beautiful as Lindos so we promptly left, ate at the restaurant the driver hooked up with and asked to be returned to the ship. Very disappointing after getting all the way there and not seeing the sites we had wanted to view. I would be extremely specific next time, make sure your schedule us in place, ask for an experienced driver and request water be provided. Coming off a ship it is tough to drag everything along. We were very disappointed to say the least to get all the way there and not be able to get in.

We would like to clarify the situation regarding the tickets to help future guests. Because ticket prices vary based on age and nationality, they are not included in our base price. While online booking is a relatively new service for the Acropolis, we usually find the on-site process efficient. However, we understand how the sight of a line in the heat can be overwhelming.
Regarding our communication, we strive to answer every message promptly. We apologize if there was any misunderstanding or a technical glitch that caused your specific question about tickets to be missed, as we did not see it in our records. Had we known, we would have gladly assisted you in purchasing them online instantly or handled it for you on the day of the tour.

We had such a wonderful day in Rhodes with Nicholas. He picked us up at our cruise ship in a very clean and comfortable Mercedes van. He took us through the old Fort and explained all of the history. He has a wealth of knowledge regarding the island and all of its history. We worked our way towards Lindos, where he told us all about the ports history, acropolis, and beaches and stores located there. We also stopped in a pottery factory that was so enjoyable! We visited some local neighborhoods/villages to better understand the history of the island. We finished our day at a local taverna, which was such a wonderful experience. The server walked us through the kitchen. Introducing us showed us different fish and prepared a beautiful meal seaside with an incredible view of the ocean. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Our guide, Vasilis was very clear and prompt with communication, starting the day before. He picked us up at our hotel and gave us a deep and short understanding of the history of each location we went to on Rhodes. We started in Lindos and worked our way through the village to the Acropolis of Lindos. Best to purchase online before going, because you never know what the line will look like. We managed to catch about 5 people in Iine when we got to the gate but passed them since we got our tickets online. Very inexpensive and absolutely worth every dollar/euro. (Google hhticket.gr legit... search Acropolis of Lindos). Bring water, it gets hot. U cam purchase it on your way up, in the village, or bring it. Our guide had some for us. Can't remember of it was included, but still a necessity.
Note: Upon exiting the site, the line had quadrupled in size. Cruise ships dock here, so the wave is unpredictable. Get tickets early.
There are no clear signs to get up to the top, just search it via google maps... its on point. Just ensure you mark your meet up spot before taking the hike up... it was a labrynth navigating the streets back to the bottom. Vasilis was on it... he sent it to me (via WhatsApp). Our savior! Lol.
Next was taking in some amazing views and off to drive along the shoreline and the outter wall of the MedievalCity of Rhodes.
I purposely chose this tour for out first full day on Rhodes, to get a lay of the land, and the local guides view of where to go/where not to go. We rented a car so this was perfect for our own adventure in days after.
We made our wasy down the Aegean side of the island and back to our hotel.taking our time amd enjoying the views was exactly 5hrs. Absolute must!

Had a great private tour with Nikolaus in Rhodes and Lindos. He was extremely knowledgeable of the island. We were able to go to places before the crowds. Also, he took us to special local spots where we saw pottery being made and tasted local olive oil. We had a fantastic lunch at a local taverna right next to the water. We really enjoyed our private tour and I highly recommended it.

We booked this tour at the last minute and couldn’t have made a better decision. Nicholas was our guide and he did an amazing job telling us about the history of Rhodes. He hit all the highlights on the way to Lindo, and stopped us at various places for breathtaking photos. I would recommend this tour because we got to see a lot instead of exploring near the cruise port on our own. Nicholas kept us engaged as he explained the history of all the ruins around the area. He picked us up and dropped us off right near the exit of the cruise ship. He also gave us tips about our next cruise port stop. Rhodes has a lot of history tucked away, things I have read about only in books, we got to see them in person. I highly recommend this tour. I only wish we would have had more time.
