This was one of the best experiences we had on our trip! Our guide was Christian, and he was incredible. He shared so much wonderful knowledge about how to listen, look and understand the animals of the forest. He helped prepare us for what to look out when we explored other forests on our trip. Memorable experience

This was an incredible experience. They serve lunch, which is great for a beach day on the island. However, you’ll need to rent chairs, which costs about 20,000 colones for two, or about $20. Don’t forget to pay for the restrooms on the island, which cost around 600 colones. They offer a variety of activities, food, drinks, and snacks. There’s also a gift shop. The snorkeling was incredible, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out many great things.

The Tortuga Island trip...

The Tortuga Island trip was great. We snorkeled, went on a Banana Boat, and did the island hike in the afternoon, and relaxed on the beach in between. They set up chairs and umbrellas for everyone, which was an added surprise, and the lunch and unlimited margaritas were delicious. We would definitely do this again!

Fantastic Shore Excursion from Puntarenas!

Hazel, our guide and Benny,our driver showed us all around. The highlight was the crocodile river cruise! Not only did we see crocodiles, we enjoyed seeing over 30 different birds! Hazel had so much information to share. It was fun to see the monkeys too. We lunch stop was delicious. I recommend the chicken! We got back to the ship with time to shop a little. Great tour!

Excellent tour, highly recommend

We had a WONDERFUL time on this tour. The value for the price is really unbeatable. Ive been to Costa Rica before and we saw most of the highlights. Our tour guide, Alex, was very conversational and had a lot of info about the country and the wildlife. We even spotted a group of scarlet Macaws. I did wish to have a little bit more time at the souvenir shop at the end because it is also a butterfly garden so we spent a good amount of time with the butterflies rather than shopping. The pick up and drop off was easy and they keep track of your cruise ship in case of a port change.

You go into a wildlife tour knowing you may not see much wildlife, however Johnny the guide has incredible ears and eyes and is able to find a huge variety of interesting flora and fauna. Even if I'd stood looking for a year I wouldn't have found some of the insect's, frogs, tarantulas, snakes, scorpions and birds he identified. And a sloth! All this while being an engaging guide who keep the whole group interested. Also it was lovely to learn about life in Monteverde and local culture. I was little nervous about waking around the forest in the dark, but Johnny made us feel safe and comfortable.

Wonderful experience

It was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide was Mr. Johanny. He did an excellent job; very friendly, patient, and funny. We had never kayaked before. He taught us how to kayak and made us feel comfortable, even in the dark. We end up kayaking for 90 minutes. We highly recommend this experience. It is very easy to take a 3 pm ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera, do the activity, and take the 8 pm ferry back to Puntarenas. This is worth the money. There is not much else to do in Pauqera.

Great experience to experience Puntarenas for First Time

Guide was at pickup location and easy to locate when departing ship. He explained what order the events would take place prior to leaving. Along the way, he told us about the history, culture, and answered questions. During our time on river, the boat driver ensured all could see the wildlife. Our next stop to bridges was breath taking. As we progressed to each bridge, he took photos using our camera. I would would recommend this tour.

Good experience with the tour and kind guide

This was a super fun experience to do. We did a night raft tour in La Fortuna and picked this for Monteverde and I’m glad we did. Mauricio was our guide throughout and he did a great job of sporting different animals for us, telling jokes, checking on us throughout, helping us get amazing photos. I had mentioned being terrified of snakes (I know, coming to the jungle was a bad idea with that fear) but he was honestly super kind about it. When he spotted some in trees he would ask if I wanted to see it and told me what it was before I went up to the scope which was very kind and greatly appreciated. I pushed myself to see the first one and felt that was enough, but he still gave me the option every time afterward. I’ve had previous guides on past tours make jokes or not tell me and say it was something else so I really appreciated that he was thoughtful with it.

Great experience in Monteverde!

This is an amazing experience to do in Monteverde, totally recommend it. The superman zip lines are incredible and also the Tarzan swing, the other ones are more normal and similar to other that you may have done in the past, but only for the ones that I mentioned is worth it. One thing that I would recommend is to do it on a day that the weather is favourable, I did it with strong winds and a bit of rain and this was a bit uncomfortable, so take that in consideration, also another recommendation try to bring dark or old clothes since they can get a bit dirty.

Awesome Tour

We had the best time! Our tour guide, Memo was fun, entertaining and very knowledgeable. Steven was great assisting us with the snorkeling. The lunch was fabulous! The captain returned us safe and sound. The only thing that would make this tour better is to have pickup right off the pier. It was difficult getting to the departure point. Memo made sure we were transported back to the pier. Thank all of you for a wonderful, memorable day.

Awesome adventure! Read below for tips/info!

I saw this zipline tour 17 years ago and vowed to come back to Costa Rica to do it! Definitely worth it! Key info: this tour requires you to be physically fit. Between the ziplines, there are steep and slippery trails to navigate. Also, the zipline is a self braking system, so you have to have the strength to brake. The swimming hole was partway through the adventure, so most of us declined because we didnt want to zipline in our wet clothes after. It was about 12 ft deep they said. There also was one line which was rappelling NOT zipline. If you have never been rappelling, it was a bit nerve wracking to go backwards, but the guides were great and helped everyone. Getting to the start of the zipline involved a very fun but bumpy ride. Use the bathroom before getting your gear on, thats the last opportunity. We ate lunch before we arrived, so I am not sure what food/drink options were there. This is a small hotel, small tour operator.....if you want something more "upscale" or "commercial", try Diamante. Also, check Google maps to see how far this is from where you are staying. It was a 3 hr drive for us (but still worth it).
