Overall, this was a very enjoyable and rewarding trip. Montana Redonda and the Mangrove forest were particularly impressive. The guide provided lots of insights into Dominican history onboard the bus. I'm not sure why no make toilet was available at the end of the Mangrove visit. This should be addressed in future.

Very pleased!!
Ignacio was our guide and he was the best. We felt very comfortable with him like we met an old friend. The way he did the excursion was so good and we found all the information very fascinating and interesting. In addition to kayaking he took us to a bird island where we saw dozens of brown pelicans sitting on the trees. Definitely recommend visiting this place if you travel to Dominican Republic. 100/100!

Dominican Republic
A small islet at the Los Haitises National Park, Dominican Republic.

Remember to bring plenty of sunscreen as well as a hat and bottled water; there are few amenities in the park.

Some tours to the park have wheelchair-accessible options.

In January, the park is one of the best places on the island of Hispaniola to spot migrating humpback whales.
