Pisa a wow
I was unsure if it would be worth while to see with so many places to visit. You cannot go to Italy without going to the leaning tower of Pisa. Booked night before as everything was sold out but Viator had tickets which was a life saver. Worth the visit it’s a good 1/2 a day to see everything.

Breathtaking Views
This was a great experience. Although it was a hot day in mid June and the Leaning Tower of Pisa doesn’t have AC it was actually comfortable inside and the steps weren’t too bad. There are small stopping points along if needed.
I’d highly recommend going to the top because the views of Pisa are breathtaking.
Note if you bring a bag of any size purses included arrive a little early so you can put it in a locker. The lockers are not inside the tower they are across the green grassy area.

Just what I wanted! This took us straight from where the cruise shuttle let out to a parking lot near the tower. It was a fifteen min walk on flat ground. The operators were nice, and the bus clean

Great one day outing to Pisa
Our Tour Guide Lumi, was awesome, she share worthwhile info, framed the journey well ito safety and keeping our fears about getting lost or late to a minimum. She even ensured she got individual participants numbers to be able to connect with someone who might be lost. This with an excellent and safe and friendly bus driver made the entire journey pleasant and informative. I would recommend this guide, as the pace is also tailored to your needs.

What they don't tell you
There are lockers to put your stuff in, but you couldn't take anything other than your phone and a plastic water bottle and hat into the tower. Also, nowhere did the tour mention your shoulders needed to be covered to go into the cathedral. Due to meeting another tour guide for the cathedral and the tour of the tower later, the free time was disjointed; the free time wasn't all in one block, so time to explore Pisa didn't exist.

No handbags or purses allowed.
There are no bags or purses allowed in the Tower of Pisa, even small purses are not allowed. We found out the hard way. Several women with the smallest of purses were turned away as well.
Other than that the experience of being on the top was satisfying. Climbing 257 marble stairs wasn’t hard but in 98° weather you can feel it. It was cool being up there at 12:00 noon when the bells chime. One and done experience but thrilled to have seen and climbed it.

Pisa Tour
Shore Excusions were terrific. Marta was very helpful and knowledgeable and patient with us as we ran a little behind schedule. She was fantastic!

The group can be rather large but you have plenty of time to explore Pisa alone or with your party. It was extremely helpful to receive a short historical briefing en route to Pisa. Essentially this tour consists of guided transportation from Livorno to the piazza where the leaning tower is located.

This was a decent tour and we enjoyed our time in Pisa. However, our time in Manarola was not nearly long enough to " relax by bathing in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea" as the itinerary promises. We wished we had not taken this extension of the Pisa tour. So yes, we recommend this tour, but don't recommend the Manarola extension. It is a pretty town, but there wasn't much to do, especially in our short time there.

Fun!
It was great. Very easy! Loved climbing the tower. Highly recommend. However our requested time was not honored. Our ticket was an hour 15 min after requested. But it all worked out.

Amazing day trip from Florence
We had an awesome time with Koko as our tour guide and Casper as our driver. It was a long day but the bus rides in between places was a good break to take a quick nap and reset and get ready for the next stop. Koko was AMAZING and so easy to interact with making our day trip very memorable. We would recommend this tour to our family and friends visiting Florence 👍
