Darling Harbour Tours and Tickets

Q: How much does it cost to visit Darling Harbour in 2026?

There’s no cost just to visit Darling Harbour, but many guided tours of Sydney begin or pass through here. Tour costs vary—expect to pay US$50 or more for a small-group walking tour or lunch or dinner cruise, US$65 for a kayaking tour of the harbor, and upwards of US$150 for a private half-day walking tour.

Q: What kinds of attractions are at Darling Harbour?

Aside from an array of upmarket accommodations and dining, Darling Harbour is known for plenty of other attractions. Check out the IMAX Sydney theater, the Australian National Maritime Museum, the Tall Ship James Craig, and the SEA LIFE® Sydney Aquarium. Tumbalong Park and the Chinese Garden of Friendship are also a short walk south of the water.

Q: What’s the best way to get to Darling Harbour by public transit or ferry?

For views of Sydney from the water, take a ferry from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour, getting off at Barangaroo Wharf (on the eastern side of the harbor) or Pyrmont Bay Wharf (on the western side). You can also get to Darling Harbour by bus, though this is less scenic than the ferry. Many buses stop along the streets surrounding the harbor.

Fabulous Tour

Captain Dave is fabulous! Hes super knowledgeable about Sydney and Darling Harbor-so interesting!! It was my husband and I plus adult daughter. Family adventures in our big back yard.

Visited Sydney with our teenage kids. The last time we were all in this beautiful city together was 15 years ago! So we had to show them how beautiful the harbour is. They absolutely loved it. And what a comfortable easy way to view one of the best harbours in the world. We will definitely do it again and again. Until our next visit, Sydney stay beautiful ❤️

Great Sydney tour

We had an excellent small group tour with our guide Peter. We covered a lot of ground in Sydney and saw/experienced all the key things on our list! The Opera house is wonderful as expected, but we also got to explore Darling Harbour, the Rocks, and other local sites. Peter was able to adapt along the way for us to get our best experience. Wonderful memories about Sydney, we'll be pleased to return again.
