What are people saying about Naxos

Fresh food, music, sunlight, joy, true Greece
This experience could not be more worthwhile and has been the highlight of our first time trip to Naxos. To be hosted among the native Naxos Greeks and spend the time cooking together, enjoying music and dancing among the natural sunlight, flowers and vegetation was a wonderful experience. We picked the vegetables, and were shown how to make the freshest food and breads in a traditional oven, and celebrated life with Naxos wine and music. The host also walked us around the area to visit the local churches, an old statues carved from Naxos marble. We felt a real connection with our hosts, the land and the rich cultural life on the island. It was everything we hoped to experience far from the touristed coast. (I also happened to mention to the host that it was my birthday and she baked me a delicious fresh Greek orange cake and sung happy birthday among the guests. I could not have been more thrilled and delighted!)

I really can't say enough...
I really can't say enough good things about our experience with Gialitissa Boat Trips. Our guides were both warm and professional and we had an incredible time touring around the area, swimming in the cave, and greatly enjoyed the wine and Greek salad at the end! Insane value for the price as well. Huge thanks to them for giving us such a great time. We would do this again in a heartbeat!

An Unforgettable Farm-to-Table Culinary by Adventure!
Our time at the Perivoli farm experience and cooking class was the most memorable and magical highlight of our entire trip to Naxos! From the moment we stepped onto the beautiful, lush property, our guides, Stamos and Soto, welcomed us with the warmest Greek hospitality that made us feel instantly at home. We loved walking through the vibrant gardens and learning about traditional Naxian agricultural methods and their incredible olive growing process. We even picked fresh eggs that we would soon become our lunch. Our guides walked us through every step of the cooking class patiently, while sharing the time-honored family recipes and the secrets behind the amazing authentic Cycladic flavors. Sitting down to eat the feast we helped prepare, bursting with rich flavors you can only get from freshly picked produce and paired with local wine, was pure heaven. To top off an already perfect day, the afternoon ended with vibrant traditional Greek music and dancing that had everyone laughing, moving, and feeling like part of the family. Stamos and Soto made the entire day incredibly fun, educational and entertaining. This is so much more than a cooking class, this was a slow progression to a true celebration of Naxian culture and community. If you want to connect deeply with the culture of the island and eat the best meal of your vacation, this experience is a must-do!

A “Drops of God” episode come to life!
The visit to the Saint Anna Winery was one of the best experiences of our trip to Naxos. Located just a short and scenic drive from Naxos Town, this estate is a hidden gem. Our tour guide, Emanuel, brought the estate to life with his knowledge of Oenology, warm hospitality, and passion for the craft. He even allowed us to enter the historic and stunning 9th-century Byzantine chapel of Agia Anna right on the property. The wine tasting itself was a selection of distinct Cycladic wines, perfectly paired with fresh, organic local bites. And learning about each grape’s journey from vine to bottle only enhanced the appreciation of every sip. We loved their sweet red wine so much that we purchased one to enjoy for the remainder of our time in Naxos. If you are looking for an authentic, unpretentious, and deeply inspiring taste of Naxos culture, do not miss this experience. Thank you, Emanuel, for a memorable afternoon.
