A fabulous trip with a fun and knowledgeable guide
A brilliant, full day out with an excellent guide (Hamood), who was good fun, knowledgeable and patient with our 5 year old. The scenery was absolutely spectacular and the sunset sandboarding was so much fun. Our daughter particularly enjoyed her camel ride and said it was her favourite part of the holiday.
Thanks Hamood, we will always remember this fantastic day!

An amazing excursion... SO worth it!
The entire trip was like something out of a dream! I had an amazing time. Mahmood (the guide) was great and very "easy on the eyes" if you know what I mean ladies! However, I must warn others... this hike was VERY advanced and does requires some level of physical fitness to complete. Also no matter how great of a swimmer you are, I still recommend the life vest when swimming to the cave. The meal after the excursion was so delicious and you WILL work up an appetite prior to getting to the restaurant. The sinkhole was beautiful also! This trip was so worth it and I am so happy I booked it.

Relaxed and informative
What a nice tour! A small group of 3 felt like It was a family outing. Our tour guide, Mahommed, was very polite and knows a lot of the city. He even helped me bargaining at the Souq. There was no rush, the clients determined the pace of the tour. Our van was in good condition, lots of space. I especially liked the karak chai that was offered to us towards the end of the tour. Highly recommended.

An unforgettable morning!
Hello,
We spent a superb morning with Daymaniyat Norana, the Daymaniyat island is magnificent, the color of the water is turquoise. Top-notch organization. The Boss Naz and Captain Abdullah were great hosts. Abdullah took us to beautiful spots where we were able to see turtles, corals, and beautiful fish. Abdullah went all out to find us the turtles and the best views. It was a great experience to do as a family; all the necessary equipment was there, as well as the safety of our 3 children.
Food and drinks, as well as photo taking, were included in our private boat package.
You can go there with your eyes closed. I assure you that you will not regret it!
Thanks again to the whole team. And bravo to Captain Abdullah.

What a wonderful experience
An absolutely unforgettable experience with Khair. Wadi was beyond beautiful and the beautiful peaceful deserts, breathtaking views, stunning sunsets. Everything from the atmosphere to the hospitality made this trip feel so special. Truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. I was able to pet the camels and use the ATVS & Khair made me feel very comfortable. If you’re girly like I am, bring an extra set of clothes for cute pics! I just love looking fabulous and Khair took such amazing pics of me.

A Great Day!
I'm really glad I selected this tour. It was a beautiful, fun, and relaxing day, and everything went perfectly well and as expected based on the descriptions and reviews. Our guide Wadd was superior. I don't use WhatsApp so he took the time to communicate with me through the Viator app, and he was right on time in picking me up at my hotel. Wadd was kind and generous throughout the trip and never pressured us to hurry up, even though I think we were a bit slow and took a ton of photos. There were only three of us in the group so we were all comfortable in his 4x4 car. The scenery was gorgeous, and I learned a lot about Omani history at Fort Nawaz and the other historical sights we saw. The Khubz Ragag bread we tried at the fort was delicious. A must-try if possible. Our lunch was very good too. The mountains of Jebel Akhdar are lovely. You can clearly see the geologic forces that shaped them. I enjoyed stopping at the Al-Sharif Museum and seeing the beautiful views from the cafe deck there. I can highly recommend this great day tour and GidOman.

Great way to see Oman outside Muscat
A brilliant day trip to Nizwa souq & fort plus Jabal Akhdar mountains and Barkat Al Muz old village.
A great way to see other parts of Oman away from Muscat. Our guide Khalid helped to make the day, very knowledgable and helpful throughout. Great to do things at our own pace.
Would definitely recommend the trip and Khalid.

Fahad has it excellent...
Fahad has done an excellent job of making the daily programme varied, structured and at the same time pleasantly flexible. The individual program items were sensibly coordinated and provided a coherent overall picture of the most important attractions along the itinerary.
He has responded to our questions at all times attentively and in detail. He managed to convey information clearly, understandably and at the same time interestingly. You could feel that he likes to share his knowledge and enjoy bringing his guests closer to the land and people.
His friendly, open and communicative manner was consistently pleasant and also makes him very personable. This created a relaxed atmosphere in which you felt in good hands.
We really enjoyed the day together and now feel well informed about our destination. Overall a very good guide, which we can recommend at any time.

The best way to see Oman
I came to Oman for the afternoon specifically just to take this tour so I had a lot riding on it. Wow I was not disappointed! The experience was incredible!!! Way beyond my expectations. Since I picked a day that no one else had booked, I was able to get a somewhat customized tour. The airport is not listed as a pickup location but they were able to pick me up and drop off at the airport as an exception since I was the only one on the tour. Many places were closed during the times of my visit such as the mosque. The tour operator made sure to inform me of that in advance, and then replaced the closed destinations with others that were equally fantastic. My guide Asaad is so passionate and knowledgeable about Oman, I loved learning more about the country. Even in a few hours, I feel like I got a taste of what the country has to offer. Although the tour is meant to be 3-4 hours, Asaad let me take my time in the souk and we ended the tour a little bit over time. Really appreciated the flexible nature of this experience

Tour of Muscat- Evening
Ahmed was my tour guide. He was extremely helpful in providing the deep historical for the landmarks but also make the drive the most efficient spots. The tour included Grand Mosque, the Opera House, the traditional Muttrah Souq, the marina, and the Sultan’s Palace.

Excellent day of history and natural beauty
This is a great full day trip from Muscat, first visiting the souq and fort in Nizwa followed by drive to the spectacular Grand Canyon at Jabal Shams, all rounded off with a delicious late lunch in the way back to Muscat. Our excellent guide Fawzi made the trip very memorable. He was full of interesting information and kept surprising us with delicious treats such as ice creams and teas along the way. The fort provides a fascinating insight into the history of Oman, while the canyon is a breathtaking natural wonder. We highly recommend the trip.

Excellent guide
My guide, Mohammed Ali, was excellent, both in his local knowledge and in being ultra helpful. I was going to a friend’s place for dinner that evening and then guide went out of his way to help me, speaking to my friend and finding a safe taxi to get me there. He made sure the taxi driver had both his and my friend’s details so that they could ensure I got there safely. The locations we visited were beautiful. We were a small group of four and everyone in the group was friendly.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Much of Oman’s finest scenery lies within day-tripping distance of its capital Muscat, making the city a convenient springboard for exploring. Consequently, Muscat day trips are everywhere you look—primarily private, chauffeured 4WD tours that promise safe passage around the interior's rugged terrain. Popular trips include circuits of the souks, 18th-century forts, and villages nestled in the country's Al-Hajar peaks; journeys into steep-walled wadis (valleys) speckled with turquoise pools, and visits to untouched canyons, beaches, and the empty sands of Wahiba. Other options beckon, too: from day-long Muscat city sightseeing itineraries to snorkeling in the glassy seas around the Dimaniyat islands.
