My guide, Mohammed Ali, was excellent, both in his local knowledge and in being ultra helpful. I was going to a friend’s place for dinner that evening and then guide went out of his way to help me, speaking to my friend and finding a safe taxi to get me there. He made sure the taxi driver had both his and my friend’s details so that they could ensure I got there safely. The locations we visited were beautiful. We were a small group of four and everyone in the group was friendly.

Traditional Oman through mountains.

The trip among the mountains is espectacular. Once in Nizwa, the visit of Date Market is a must to taste different types of dates. The zouk is not big but good enough to find souvernirs. The Fort is really worth of visiting. The interior is beautiful. Perfect place to get good pictures. We had a very good and friendly guide Mohammed that was explaining not only about the places we visited but also about the Omaní life. The lunch was simple but very tasty. In out way back we visited the small old village Bait al Sabat. Definetely good place to take last pictures.

Relaxing day filled with local flavors

It was an easy, relaxing and fun experience. After an exhausting Wadi Sham on previous day, we took it easy. The views were amazing, the fort is interesting (loved the doors), good introduction to local sweets at the souk, and a very good lunch. Our guide Hisham took great care of our group of four.

Our guide was Abdullah. He was friendly, quietly spoken and knowledgeable about the places we visited. He was also a careful driver. Lunch was tasty. The stops were interesting. Nizwa souk is definitely set up for tourists with lots of free tastings and souvenirs if that's what you're into. The fort is interesting, definitely opened my eyes to all the uses of dates and date palms! Green Mountain is lovely and so different from the landscape you'll see on the way there. Do note that there is often a fair bit of haze, which probably depends on the time of year, so the view isn't crystal clear. The car was comfortable, though I was in the front seat.

Your comfort and satisfaction are very important to us, and we deeply regret that the seating arrangement was not ideal for you. We would like to clarify that, due to police regulations and road safety requirements, tours to destinations such as Jebel Akhdar must be conducted in 4WD vehicles. For this reason, we use spacious and reliable Toyota Land Cruisers, which are the safest and most suitable vehicles for navigating the mountainous terrain. Unfortunately, larger vehicles such as vans or minibuses are not permitted in these areas. We understand that seating for longer journeys can sometimes feel restrictive, especially when sharing a vehicle with others. In the future, we encourage guests to inform us of any specific needs or preferences in advance, so we can do our best to make suitable arrangements. Thank you for recognizing the professionalism of our driver. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us continually enhance our services.

Scenic views on the way from Muscat to Nizwa. Bought some Omani Halwa from Nizwa Souq. Here got to see authentic Omani culture. Next we went to the Jabal Al Akhdar mountain ride. Peaceful and beautiful experience we had over here. Our guide Yaqoob provided lot of cultural information about Oman and was very friendly.
