There was much to learn at Nizwa Fort and the views of Nizwa Canyon are impressive. Comfortable transportation.

I'm really glad I selected this tour. It was a beautiful, fun, and relaxing day, and everything went perfectly well and as expected based on the descriptions and reviews. Our guide Wadd was superior. I don't use WhatsApp so he took the time to communicate with me through the Viator app, and he was right on time in picking me up at my hotel. Wadd was kind and generous throughout the trip and never pressured us to hurry up, even though I think we were a bit slow and took a ton of photos. There were only three of us in the group so we were all comfortable in his 4x4 car. The scenery was gorgeous, and I learned a lot about Omani history at Fort Nawaz and the other historical sights we saw. The Khubz Ragag bread we tried at the fort was delicious. A must-try if possible. Our lunch was very good too. The mountains of Jebel Akhdar are lovely. You can clearly see the geologic forces that shaped them. I enjoyed stopping at the Al-Sharif Museum and seeing the beautiful views from the cafe deck there. I can highly recommend this great day tour and GidOman.

It was such a lovely tour with Muqimi (Mak) to Nizwa and the mountains. We had a leisurely time browsing and shopping at the Nizwa Souq, then a walk down history through Nizwa Fort. Followed by a sumptuous lunch (included) - got to taste camel curry - and then to the mountains. I particularly enjoyed the hike from one village to another - the views were breathtaking-taking and refreshing. The day ended with a climb up an abandoned village to watch the sunset at the peak. The tour was leisurely with Mak and a small group (just 3 of us) and we all got plenty of information sharing and laughter from Mak. He also whisked us around from place to place safely and very comfortably in a 4WD. This is a tour not to be missed!!

I had a great tour and the tourguide Mohammed Sulaiman was really good. Had a lot of knowledge about the places we visited. It was a small group which was great because we could make extra stops if there was something we were interested in. For example we stopped at a rose water factory which wasn’t on the program. So the guide was very accommodating. I recommend this tour for anyone.

I wasn’t very impressed with Jebel Akhdar. I read a lot of great comments but not sure we’ve been to the same place. Also the restaurant was the worst i have been in Oman. Didn’t even have freshly made bread. Nizwa and Birkat al Mouz were nice.

We got to meet a group of other fun travelers, and our guide Ali was exceptional with his hospitality and patience. The lunch was wonderful and delicious too. Ali was very punctual and extremely warm. This tour is definitely recommended to include on your bucket list when visiting Oman.

We booked the tour for a Friday which also happened to be when they had the livestock market in Nizwa. Our guide picked us up earlier so that we didn't miss it. It was a unique experience. Overall, a nice day trip outside of Muscat. Our guide Khair was professional, easy going and acomodating. We enjoyed the service and thought put into the tour.
