What To Expect
Arrive at the lively restaurant in central Ljubljana and jump into jubilation with a tasting of šklojce (traditional Slovenian schnapps) and some dried fruit. Then, appreciate this under the radar European capital at its best through a night of traditional food and folk dancing.
After regaining your composure from the schnapps get ready for four courses of Slovenian heritage food accompanied by a glass of local vino. After savouring vegetable soup the show begins. Witness three merry dance performances that will have you bouncing in your seat.
Next, fill up with a peasant-style chicken, pork fillet in natural sauce and green salad. Harness your energy as its your turn to hop onto the dance floor to learn the Polka. Then grab dessert and enjoy games such as aspouštertanc, which translates as 'the cushion dance.' Finally, after a night of continuous joy, depart and receive a special gift.

I had the best time doing this activity! Met so many lovely people to say I was travelling alone. The Slovenian dancers were knowledgeable and told us the history of the costumes. They made sure everyone got up dancing and we playing traditional Slovenian games too. The food was delicious and it was a great atmosphere. I would definitely do this again if i were to come back to Ljubljana!!

This was really a very delightful evening. The food, though not excellent, was definitely very good. But the highlight was the music and dancing. I think every guest there had a great time. I would definitely recommend!

We were a group of 4 people, two in their 30’s and two in our 60s, and we had all had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and authentic, and the entertainment was lively and interactive. Highly recommend!

It’s ok. The place is basically a nice pizzeria. However, the food was decent. The show was also ok. Basically young people in costumes dancing. The games were cute and fun. My issue isn’t so much the experience….it was a nice time with no WOW factor. My main concern was the address information provided by Viator. Down right wrong and confusing. The meeting place is stated at a certain restaurant with an address. There’s an option to connect to your phone’s map app directly from the Viator app. That provides a completely different address, which I followed without noticing it was different. There’s absolutely nothing at the location and address that the map app takes you. After walking in circles for 20 minutes in the rain. Another restaurant suggested a possible location for the place. It turned out to be the correct location. Completely different restaurant….at a yet third address. That actual address and different restaurant does appear in the reservation. However, only if follow the steps in seeking support through the app. It was very well hidden. The reservation stated I would be contacted if there were changes to the location. Was never notified. We managed to make it to the show about a minute or two late and didn’t miss anything. However, was soaken wet from walking in the rain and stressed out big time trying to make the show on time. Set the tone for the rest of the experience. Might have enjoyed it more if directions were correct and clear.

We sent you the address and GoogleMaps link via WhatsApp two days before the event, and you confirmed receiving it. The event took place at Restaurant Allegria, which has two connected rooms - the Allegria restaurant and Pizzeria Osmica - operating under same management and address (Nazorjeva 8). Each has its own entrance, which sometimes causes confusion.
The situation you described arises because we collaborate with two venues (Allegria and Skriti Kot), located about 100 meters apart. We decide which one to use only a few days before the event, depending on the number of guests. This is why the meeting point is set on the main street between the two (a short 3-minute walk to either). We then inform guests about the final location via message.
We know this system ISN’T perfect, and we sincerely appreciate your feedback. If you have any suggestions on how we could make this process clearer, we’d be very grateful.
Just do it!! You will not regret it. It was so fun and the food was so good! It’s totally worth it!!

What a fun and beautiful dinner we had! The lady that welcomed us immediately made us feel so welcome and at home. The couples that were there showing their dances and customs were the cutest thing ever. Loved the ambience, the food and the entertainment. We danced their music with them and even played games. Had a fantastic time. We are taking home great memories of Slovenia in general, awesome people, the really put the LOVE in sLOVEnia 🇸🇮

I was able to add this experience of dinner and dancing last minute and so glad I looked again. Dinner was traditional Slovenian and the dancing topped off the evening. The attire of the dancers was full of history and told the story of the different regions in Slovenia. We danced and played games which made for a memorable experience!

Enjoyable explanation of costumes, dances etc. Be prepared to join into the dances as the performance is interactive and fun. We had a great time and the food was very good. We have an autistic member who unfortunately found the accordion music difficult and had to leave room when being played. Overall, an enjoyable evening and definitely worth it!

Delicious dinner and a comfortable-sized crowd/dining hall, at a local restaurant in the historic district. Super welcoming host. Beautiful dances. And background of dances, dress, and food/wine was all explained, culturally and historically. Was muuuuch more than just a “dinner show.” Worth the price.

This is worth every penny! A 10 out of 10 performance. Everyone was so friendly and the dancing was so enjoyable! The hat dance was a lot of fun too, as I had never seen it performed before!

The experience and entertainment were fun. With only 3-4 servers and up to 80 people (at our show), the service was harried Food was what to be expected in a large setting. We had both a slice of pork and a fried chicken leg. I could not cut the pork and the chicken was tender once the deep fried crust was cut through.
The dancing was fun to watch and the Hat Game was very funny.
The host was very good and attentive. With such a large group, we had our dinner served, eaten and plates cleared while others in the back had not been served. Key...sit up front!

We had such a wonderful time! We booked this last minute our last night in Ljubljana and we were glad we did. We wanted to try some authentic dishes and see a traditional show and this didn't disappoint. Food was great and the dancing was fun to see. It was better than what we expected!
