Wonderful walk through a beautiful area!

This tour was a great orientation to Kyoto and the geisha culture. Our guide, Mayo, was excellent and provided a clear explanation for each site we visited. She kept the group moving without making us feel rushed and navigated us through the crowds without losing anyone. Her love for the city of Kyoto was evident and contagious! I highly recommend this tour to get a great overview of the geisha culture and how it shaped Kyoto.

Great tour to see famous Kyoto spots!

This was a great way to see many of Kyoto’s famous spots in one day! Hiroko was an amazing guide!!! She went above and beyond anything I have experienced on a tour. Hiroko was so joy filled and willing to help. Even during the down time on the bus she shared fun facts and trivia. This is definitely a long day so be ready for that, but I think a good system for seeing these sites that are harder to get to yourself. I recommend!

Best time in Kyoto!

This was one of the best experiences of our trip to Kyoto. Our guide, Rhea (also known as Sarah), was wonderful—friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. She adjusted the itinerary to match our family's interests and pace, which made the tour feel very personalized. Traveling with two teenagers can be challenging, but she kept everyone engaged and made the day enjoyable for all of us. We learned so much about Kyoto while also discovering places we would never have found on our own. Highly recommend this tour, and if you're lucky enough to get Rhea as your guide, you're in great hands!

The tour was absolutely great and the tour guide was outstanding! I highly recommend Akemi as a tour guide, she was personable, organized, knowledgeable, and very in tune to our needs (tired/interested/hungry / etc) throughout the day. I loved how she gave historical facts about Kyoto, the location, and the individuals throughout the centuries that impacted the site we were touring. Even though she was a great tour guide, the thing I LOVED about her was the fact that she communicated at a minimum 1-2 months in advance and KEPT communicating right up until we met face to face. Extremely professional and made a great impression for Viator and especially a great ambassador for Kyoto! Outstanding!

Great cultural activity for all ages

This was a great experience to learn about Japanese tea culture. The hosts were great and very informative. They give information about traditional tea ceremonies and where they divert from tradition to make it more interactive for us. We wear Kimonos including our little one. At the end of the ceremony one person from each group make matcha tea.

The class was great. It was actually very hands on... you really make your own ramen with lots of elbow grease. The staff was great and efficient. Tuyo was the lead instructor and kept it entertaining and educational. You are able to choose from two different kinds of stock and between miso, soy, salt, or blend. You also get all of the delicious toppings. Their is no pork in this ramen either. Definitely recommend for solo, groups, and families. You also receive a photo, certificate, and bandana.
