Great tour and it really...
Great tour and it really does take you to restaurants you’re not going to stumble into without a local guide. Our guide was awesome and she answered other questions we had about Japan in general and different cultural questions we had. Really enjoyed it!

Thank you Den for a great tour!
My husband and I did the full day tour with Den and loved seeing all the sites in Nara Park and Uji.
Den was lovely, kind and knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions and was very patient with us. The temples, the shrine, feeding the deer, the delicious traditional Japanese lunch and the matcha tea ceremony were highlights of our time in Japan. I do have some recommendations to make the tour smoother: the coordinates on the app lead us to the back of the building. Just Google the Tully coffee house location for a less confusing map. Den was very good about giving an overview of our day, however, the map she used was not to scale and Nara Park is quite large and the crowds made it hard to navigate at times. We missed our meeting point and were lost for about an hour. The phone number provided for support did not work, but we were able to quickly communicate with the company via text messages on the app. It would have helped if we had specific pre-arranged ranged meeting times and locations so when we did get separated, we knew where next to be. Also, when we were walking next to Den, we got great information, but it was otherwise hard to hear her in the crowded streets. On the bus, she gave great explanations. Overall, we would recommend this full day tour!

Long day , but life...
Long day , but life changing as we need to put our world perspective in place. The calm and understanding of Mito helped everyone take in the enormity of the events of the first atomic bomb snd how the residents still live with the ghosts of the event.

Great day with Lee
We had a great day in Ine and Amanohashidate with Lee. Funny jokes, great communication before and during the tour, and excellent organisation on the day.
Note for other travellers: the sake brewery in Ine closes between 12:00 and 13:00, so if you’d like to visit it, I would recommend going there first when you arrive in Ine.

This is a must
Wow! This was amazing. We got to hold ancient Samurai swords, learn about Zen meditation and its importance in focusing the mind for Samurai. We then learned proper sword technique and did real sword practice! So much more in depth than we had imagined. Must do!

Amy was a fabulous guide....
Amy was a fabulous guide. She was early to meet us, very knowledgeable and got us everywhere we wanted to go. She was responsive to our needs and flexible when we needed her to be. Very grateful for our day in Kyoto and highly recommend her and this tour.

A Fantastic Tour with Hidden Gems – Ask for Yuki!
I can’t recommend this walking food tour of Nishiki Market enough! It was the perfect way to explore the market beyond just the main stalls. We tried a great variety of different snacks, and the tour took us to several hidden gems that I definitely would have overlooked if I were just wandering around as a tourist.
Our guide, Yuki, was the highlight of the experience. She was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing so much insight into the food and culture. It was quite cold during our walk, and Yuki was thoughtful enough to bring hand warmers for us—such a kind touch that made a huge difference!
The tour finished with a sit-down meal that had a bunch of different options to try, which was pretty amazing and a great way to end the day. I ordered steamed dumplings and they were amazing. If you want to see the best of Nishiki Market, definitely book this tour!

Kyoto Bar Hopping
This was a great tour to visit places that you might not stumble across yourself. We had a great time and would recommend anyone wanting to check out new places and just relax into the night.
Highly recommend this tour and our guide was also very accommodating and friendly.

Unique, amazing experience in Kyoto.
Amazing experience! More than I expected, our tour guide Soichiro was very personable and friendly. The Maiko was very friendly as well and answered many questions, with a translator. The dance was beautiful and the game we played after very fun. We were surprised after that we went to visit a shrine guided by the Maiko which was the cherry on top. Truly amazing experience and I highly recommend it.

Worth the early start!
We were extremely lucky to have very sparse crowds at both Fushimi Inari and the Golden Pavilion - definitely worth getting up early! Akiko was delightful and added valuable insights that helped us get more out of the experience, including for our children. She also took lots of photos which was an absolute bonus. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the experience and Akiko’s approach to the morning!

Our amazing tour guide!
Tet/Ted was an excellent tour guide. It was our first day in Japan and he gave a very warm welcome into the Japanese culture. Tet/Ted took many pictures for us that came out beautiful. He was extremely helpful and gave us plenty of recommendations of places to visit and things to do. He treated us like family and took great care of us. I highly recommend this tour with Tet/Ted as your guide. God bless Tet/Ted!

Informative, tasty, and fun!
This was such an awesome experience! We learned so much about sake and had fun because of our great host Mayo. The food pairings were delicious and helped with the tasting experience - plus, we have a much better idea of how to enjoy sake during the rest of our trip. Highly recommend!
