What are people saying about Kusadasi

Ephesus with Gufte
Great. Small group and our guide Gufte was flexible and we enjoyed some small side trips. Ephesus is worth seeing although supposed home of Mary less so. Seemed mostly like a time filler and the time can probably be put to better use. Our guide helped us with that. She knew here way around and made the trip so much more interesting.

Definitely booked through Viator… Save your money and don't book through the cruise
Our family of 9 had an awesome time on this tour. We had other family members book almost the exact same itinerary for more than double the price through a cruise. I was so happy to have had such a good time and experience for far less money. The food was excellent, and the full tour of Ephasis is definitely worth it. It's absolutely amazing.

Extensive tour of Ephesus in Spanish and English
Our six-hour tour of Ephesus was an incredible experience, starting with our friendly guide, Hugo, who spoke both Spanish and English. It was very hot the day of our tour, so Hugo suggested we visit the ancient city early before the worst of the heat. While there we also visited the Terrace Houses, which required an extra entry fee. We then were taken to a leather manufacturer, where we experienced a runway show of leather jackets and a strong sales pitch to buy their products. We also were taken to a Turkish carpet factory, where we again were subjected to a strong sales pitch to purchase a carpet. After that we ate a traditional Turkish lunch, followed by a trip to the House of the Virgin Mary. Overall it was a great day of experiencing ancient Turkish history.

We love Kusadasi and Selin!
With one exception, I would give this 6 stars! Selin was amazing! Clear communication for meeting up, overall a lovely experience. Selin was really easy going, let us skip a few things we didn't care to see and was so knowledgeable about Ephesus and the culture . We truly love her and felt like we made a sweet friend! The one thing we did not like, was the unexpected sales pitch at the carpet place. We really enjoyed the tour, and being shown how they make carpets in Turkey, truly amazing to learn and appreciate the art of rug making. But then we were led into a room where we were shown around 50 rugs, by probably a team of 5 or six people, rolling out rugs. They were working really hard to show us all these rugs, and we felt really bad. We felt a little trapped. I get them trying to sell their product, but none of us were in the market for a rug, nor could we afford them... they were too insistent for comfort. Selin also took us to see a leather clothing outlet and a family-owned pottery place. We enjoyed these two places and everyone we met was really lovely. They too were trying to sell us product but we didn't feel the same pressure to buy as we did with the carpet guys. Selin also took us to a market to try Turkish delight and baklava and some other products special to Turkey. The day was full of history and learning about the culture and unique gifts special to Turkey. We really enjoyed the day and would do it all over again. Just make sure to let your guide know if you want to avoid certain sale pitches.
