The Best Day Ever
This was a truly remarkable day! I cannot believe how much we saw and learned in one day! Our guide Sumit was incredible in his knowledge and organizational skill, moving everyone around seamlessly while relaying stories and information that truly made the day come alive until the very end.
It is a trip not to be missed- one of the best I have ever been on.

Don’t Miss!
This was an amazing trip! We went to so many unique places for such a variety of wonderful food. Everything was delicious, and the “best of the best” of Nepali food. Our guide Deepak was such fun to be with and really made the whole experience unforgettable! I highly recommend this trip!

A Wonderful Window into Nepal
After having traveled to over 70 countries and taken my fair share of tours, our guide on this tour, Bidhya, was quite possibly the best tour guide I've ever had. We started our morning with a pick up at our hotel where Bidhya was waiting and drove out to Nagarkot for a short hike through the hills halfway across the suspension bridge and up to the lookout point for the Himalayas. The drive to get there was about an hour and a half in a comfortable, air conditioned car, where Bidhya gave us a very detailed explanation of the Kathmandu Valley and its history and traditions. After Nagarkot, we headed to Bhaktapur where we walked among the squares and temples, and the local streets, for a good two hours. This was a fantastic look into a fascinating world. All throughout, Bidhya explained the importance and use of the squares along with a background as to how Hinduism and Bhuddism are practiced in Nepal. After a good 6 hours, we returned to our hotel, extremely satisfied with our experience. A huge shoutout to Breakfree Adventures for putting this trip together and all the kudos in the world for the best guide in Kathmandu, Bidhya. Kudos as well to our great driver Lok who managed those Kathmandu Valley streets to perfection. A wonderful and highly recommended experience!!!

Ideal tour for a short stay in Kathmandu
I would highly recommend this tour. Had a limited amount of time in Kathmandu and chose this tour based on reviews I read on Viator and TripAdvisor. The tour did not disappoint. Prashant was my guide and he was great at sharing information while also checking how much I wanted to hear about each site - perfect balance. He also gave me some free time to explore at a couple sites which was appreciated and he didn’t then have to explain everything to me. The driver was fantastic getting us around the traffic in Kathmandu. Final stop with a quick bite and drink was much appreciated. Only wish I had more time to explore other sites with this tour company.

We hoped to see the Bug Man at sunrise and we did!!
The mountains are a long way away, but if you get a clear morning, it is a wonderful experience. As this is just a part of the trip, the hike including a suspension bridge, Buddhist Temple, high villages and forests and ending at Changunarayan Temple is a wonderful and full on experience. Great day!!

Life long wish granted!!
It was an unbelievably beautiful experience. Don't think twice, it was worth every cent.
I cannot commended the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour enough. From the pickup and transfer to Kathmandu airport to our brilliant pilot it was professional, courteous and careful.
Thank you all making this possible.

This tour is a must, especially if your time is limited
Madan was a great guide! I had only 1 day to see Kathmandu. You really cram a lot in one day - a long day but worth it for those who don't have the leisurely schedule. Seeing the 7 UNESCO sites was important for me to see, this tour and company was the best one - given the reviews and offerings.

Great time making a kukuri!
A person met me outside my Airbnb & we took a taxi they arranged to the kukuri making location that was a small, rustic and authentic workshop. The knife making master & his family/assistants were all friendly, accommodating & easy to work with. I went away with an attractive, useful kukuri. It was a fascinating experience.

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!
This flight was amazing. Definitely a recommended trip whilst in Kathmandu.
Driver was amazing and helped us through to get our tickets.
My little one was car sick and he grabbed her a water and waited for us to sort her before taking us through.
Communication beforehand was exceptional.
This company looked after us so well whilst in Nepal even saving the day on our first day when our first tour company didnt turn up.

Spectacular scenery - 1 hr Mount Everest flight excursion, Guide Nawa
We took the 1 hour Mount Everest flight from Kathmandu and it was spectacular. The scenery while flying over and beside the Himalayas was like we were in another world.
Our guide Nawa Thapaliya and driver picked us up at our hotel and brought us to the airport. Nawa took us inside and did our check in. We had a long wait because of foggy weather. But once we took off, the magic of the scenery made it well worth the wait. Amazing!!

Nagarkot Sunrise morning walk
We had a great time on this walk with Madan. Making it to the sunrise and seeing the Himalayas was incredible. The walk also took us around local areas and temples. Madan was very informative and made our day a great experience. Definitely recommend this day trip and Madan.

Cable car near Kathmandu
Ananta is an amazing tour guide. Taking the cable car to the mountain near Kathmandu was one of the highlights of my trip. The views were stunning—lush valleys, terraced hillsides, and the distant outline of the Himalayas. But what made the experience truly memorable was the cultural and historical storytelling along the way.
As we ascended, I was captivated by the guide’s narration of Nepal’s deep-rooted history, its ancient kingdoms, and the spiritual significance of the mountain. I especially enjoyed learning about local myths and legends—stories passed down through generations that gave the landscape a magical, almost sacred feel. The blend of natural beauty and cultural richness made the ride feel much more than a simple trip up a mountain—it was a journey through Nepal’s soul.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kathmandu who wants a mix of scenic views and cultural depth.

The scope and diversity of Kathmandu tours is impressive. Options range from a 15-day trek to Everest Base Camp and an 8-day Langtang Valley journey to a day hike from Nagarkot to the 3,000-year-old Changu Narayan temple. There are also scenic helicopter and airplane rides, food tours, cooking classes, white-water rafting trips, and Kathmandu Valley tours of the region's UNESCO World Heritage sites. Whether you’re looking for adventure, nature, culture, or history, there's a Kathmandu tour for you.
