We had the pleasure of touring with Apostolos, and it was hands-down one of the best guided experiences we've had — from start to finish. Even before the tour, the company was fantastic to deal with. They communicated clearly to confirm all the details and made sure we could be picked up right from our hotel, which made everything effortless on our end. When he arrived, he made a point of checking that we were comfortable before we even got started a small touch that set the tone for the whole day. His knowledge was genuinely impressive he didn't just recite facts, he wove them into stories that brought each site to life. Every question we asked, no matter how detailed, he answered with real depth and clear enthusiasm for the subject. Our start ended up running late, but Apostolos handled it with total professionalism. Instead of rushing us through the rest of the tour to make up time, he adjusted on the fly and made sure we still got the full, unhurried experience at every stop nothing felt cut short or skipped over. Wonderful tour for families

This experience was wonderful for our family and George was a very informative guide. I learned so much about Crete from him. We started at a small bakery outside of Rethymno (our pick up location) which was absolutely delicious. Then, we drove about 20-30 mins to the gorge. The gorge was beautiful. One thing to note is that in the gorge, there was two pools. The second pool inside the gorge, you have to “swim” (water is about chest/armpit level) to get to. However, for us, the water very cold so it would be good to bring a wet suit (the water so cold that even in the first pool where it’s only calf deep, our legs felt like they were locking up). With that being said, even just seeing the gorge from the first pool, was beautiful and worth it for those that really enjoy nature’s magnificent creations. We then chose Kalypso beach which was probably one of my favorite beaches. It is more of a fjord than the long beaches you are used to in Greece, but the water temp was wonderful and there were cliffs that the kids could jump from. Lastly, we stopped at a small taverna with more traditional Cretan food where they show you the specials of the day inside of the pots they are being cooked in, in the kitchen. Food was delicious and staff was so kind. Highly recommend this tour.

The BEST tour in Crete - highly recommend it

I booked the tour as a gift for my girlfriend based on the many positive reviews. I couldn’t have made a better choice! We had a lovely day exploring Crete and the Lasithi plateau, getting to know through the lens of our amazing native tour guide Spyros some super interesting insights on the island, traditions and culture. Spyros was THE BEST tour guide, charming, knowledgeable and attentive. We enjoyed every second of the tour, from visiting the windmills to picking up strawberries and visiting Zeus’ cave. Would highly recommend the tour and Spyros to anyone visiting Crete.

An Outstanding Tour with the Best Guide in Crete!

Without a doubt, this was one of the highlights of our trip to Greece, and Stavros made it truly unforgettable. We started a bit earlier than our scheduled time and right from the get go, Stravos’ energy, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for Crete were contagious. He brought every place to life with fun facts, stories, history, mythology, and cultural insights. He not only shared his insights about Knossos Palace and the legend of Zeus, but also about Greece’s history, traditions, everyday life, and even connections to the world history. We visited Knossos Palace, traditional villages, windmills, local farms, amazing olive oil factory, a beautiful coffee stop, and enjoyed an authentic Cretan lunch. Along the way, Stavros stopped by multiple times to point out interesting trees, fruits, plants, and local landmarks that we would have otherwise driven right past. He was also very generous and stopped by view points to take pictures for us. Those unexpected moments made the experience even more special. What really stood out was how interactive and engaging he was. He encouraged questions, shared personal stories and made learning fun. His kindness, sense of humor, and incredible knowledge kept the energy high throughout the entire day. It felt like exploring Crete with a knowledgeable local friend who truly loves his island. This is a full day tour that provides a flavor of what Crete is all about. You will see the Knossos Palace archeological site, cave of Zeus, mountain region, and explore the native olive trees, plants, and fruits that this region is known for. Lunch at a family Greek taverna. Michael, our guide, is proud of his heritage and gave us great insight into the culture and history of Crete. The tour went until after 6pm because he wanted to show us a small Crete village for some afternoon coffee….it was a true highlight. One of the best tours I have ever been on. Thank you Michael!!

Awesome scenery and great people.

A great way to see Crete! Beautiful scenery. Our guides were awesome. My 26 yr old daughter and I each got our own quad and wished in hindsight we would have shared one. Our thumbs got tired! Chicken skewer lunch with tomatoes/cukes and fries were also served. Definitely would recommend!

5 Star Food Tour!

We had the most wonderful food tour with Magda. She was a perfect ambassador of Cretan hospitality, history and culture. She took us to places in Heraklion we may no have gone on our own, and the food…first, I’ve never eaten so much on a food tour and we usually take one in a every major city we visit. Secondly, Magda took us to places that had unique offerings that only a local would know. One of the restaurants served us lamb, sheep and pork raised from the owner’s farm in the mountains. And I loved that she encouraged us to eat with our hands. We were immersed into the Cretan culture for a day. Loved it!

Great day out in the mountains away from crowds. Lovely companions with us for this experience Jovial but knowledgeable and v competent driver. Superb scenery landscaped and wildlife Longish times in the jeep but fairly frequent quick stops between destinations. May be cramped if on the larger size but comfortable for the majority. V considerate and knowledgeable driver
