What are people saying about Heraklion

A must do in Crete!
Absolutely worth every penny. The captain was informative telling us about the history of the island and Demitri served us up a gorgeous breakfast of pastries and coffee and the most delicious lunch of shrimp spaghetti, risotto and Greek salad with wine and soft drinks. We had so much fun on the paddleboards and swimming to the island (and we are in our early 60s) thankyou for an excellent cruise, you made our holiday! I'd also like to mention that this company was the only one offering pick up from our hotel - The Minos Imperial. Most other companies won't travel that far out. 10/10 from us

Great day out!
We had Spyros today as our driver and guide. He was full of jokes and knowledge. Started the day at 8am and finished after 3pm. He was a confident and capable driver through the day. It felt like he knew everyone in Crete. The tour felt genuine and like a friend was sharing his local experiences. Would recommend to anyone. Unfortunately the Zeus cave was closed when we were there but we knew this before booking. Despite this, we still had an amazing trip.

Great trip
First, our guide, Mike was amazing. He told us so much about the areas we visited and was a great guide. The trip itself was enlightening. We got a taste of Crete and the mountains. And a terrific lunch, not included in the price but well worth what we paid. . We got a real taste.

Highly Recommend This Tour!
We had a fantastic time on this tour! Our guide (I think his name was Petros?) was very knowledgeable and informative about the history of Crete. He was very patient and did not rush us at any of our stops. He and his drive made us feel very safe and we thoroughly enjoyed this as our cruise excursion!

Crete’s capital and largest city, Heraklion, sits not far from the center of the island’s north coast, meaning you can reach anywhere in Crete on a day trip—while ferries will bring you as far afield as Santorini. Some of the top Heraklion day trips include sailing to uninhabited Dia Island, off-road safaris through villages and olive groves, hiking the 10-mile (16-kilometer) Samaria Gorge, and heading west to Chania Old Town or pink-tinted Elafonisi Beach. From the Lassithi Plateau windmills to the fortress isle of Spinalonga, Heraklion makes the perfect base.
