An awesome and...

An awesome and well-planned experience, I feel like I got to see so much! We were all so tired by the end we were ready for a siesta (it was quite a hot day), completely worth it. We got so lucky to see the pyramids on the equinox so there were shows. I really love how our guide let us (three solo travelers) have input on how long we would stay (within reason) at each place and if we wanted to skip anything. His explanation at the museum was super valuable as not a lot of the museum was in English, so we got a lot of context. Tequila tasting was great, definitely the best and most…real? Of all the tastings I did. It seems like every tour in Jalisco/Nayarit includes a tequila tasting but this was the most informative and high quality for sure. It definitely helped me discern the quality of tequila on the subsequent tastings I wound up doing. The views are also gorgeous. My only small suggestion is if the menu for the two restaurant options in Tequila could be provided ahead of time. I did enjoy the food court meal we decided on, but after hearing about the offerings of one of the restaurants later, I would have chosen that. For anyone considering, the two restaurants he recommended were Fonda La Martina and La Antigua Casona if you want to look up menus before your trip :) but this was absolutely my favorite “bus” tour that I did on this trip, it’s a true small group experience and I highly recommend!

A Must-Do Experience in Jalisco!

We had an incredible time on The Agave Experience Tequila Tour! Our guide, Andrea, was amazing — she explained every step of the tequila-making process with such detail that we left feeling like experts. The tasting experience was excellent, and she even stopped in the agave fields so we could take some great photos. Andrea also took us to a few great local spots where the food was amazing, and we got to visit the viral bar where drinks are served in clay cups. Visiting the town of Tequila itself was another highlight, especially since there was a red-carpet event happening that added a unique local flair to the day. Overall, this tour was the highlight of our trip to Guadalajara. We learned a a lot of tequilas, had a ton of fun, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience real Jalisco culture and the heart of tequila production.

Tequila Experience

Our tour guide Carmen and our driver Martin were amazing. You can tell Carmen loves her job and enjoys sharing her knowledge of tequila. Although the weather was not perfect she did not let that damper the experience. Martin also always made us feel safe although the road were effected by the rain. Our group was the only English speaking guests, but Carmen always made us feel included in every conversation. The first stop at Don Elias’ Distillery was so beautiful and the tequila was delicious. Carmen gave us a great education and experience we will never forget. Our next stop in the town of Tequila was just as good. We had a Beautiful lunch and were able to tour the quaint streets of Tequila. Thanks again to Carmen and Martin for making our day unforgettable.
