What are people saying about Glasgow

We received great...
We received great communication from the company about booking, paying, and detailed information about meeting time and location. Tour stops were as described and, in spite of miserable weather, our guide Dave kept us entertained with his good nature and vast knowledge of Scotland and its history. Happy to recommend this tour to anyone visiting Glasgow who is interested in venturing out of the city to see some of the highlands.

Great tour for those...
Great tour for those interested in visiting St. Andrew's! The ride from Galsgow to St. Andrew's has a few stops of interest such as the Kelpies and the village where they filmed a bit of Outlander. The tour is built to allow you 30ish minutes in each to walk around, stretch your legs, grab a snack and use the facilities. The stop at St. Andrew's gives you more time to explore, just over 3 hours to walk around and check out the Old Course, the history of golf museum, and all the shops. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to eat on Market Street as well.
Our tour guide, Neil was great and really provided us with a lot of stories and Scottish history on the drive.

It’s a wonderful tour. George was our great tour guide.
We chose the Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond, and cruise tour with George and we were glad we did. Our tour guide George was very knowledgeable about the history and the area in and around Glasgow. Great sense of humor too. We would definitely recommend George for all the Glasgow tours.

Scottish Highland Tour January 2026
Michelle and David did a fantastic job. They provided excellent information about the surrounding sights we visited and provided ample opportunities to stop and take photos. One of the best day trips my wife and I have taken. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in Scottish history and/or Scotland's landscape!

So Amazing!
My first time being in Scotland and wanted a way to explore and see the beauty of the highlands that I always read about and the history. Gary was our guide and I really want to give him a big shout out for doing what he does. I am American and had no trouble understanding what he was saying. He knew the history, told it in a fun and very entertaining way, we laughed and awed. The trip was very comfortable. He also went out of his way to show us extra stuff along the way. Can't thank him enough for making the experience worth every single pence. I will definitely be looking forward to another trip. Thank you again Gary for giving us a wonderful experience.

Outlander & Beyond!
Great tour of some interesting historical landmarks in the area north of Glasgow & Edinburgh. It was themed around the Outlander tv programne, but you didn't need to be a fan to appreciate the history.
One castle we visited was used for the filming of Monty Python & the Holy Grail and 'horses' were available to purchase from their gift shop!
The tour was hosted by Grant - a lovely local guy - with lots of interesting historical facts & fascinating snippets to bring the journey to life.
A fab day out!

Wet, wet day but Tour was great!
It is a long day and would be much better to take in the summer, less chance of rain and fog to hide the beauty of the Highlands. Even though it was a wet day our tour guide was great. She talked about the history of Scotland and had many interesting tidbits about the area we were visiting. She stayed alert to the weather and tried to make the trip as pleasant as possible.

Wee Davie was best tour guide we’ve had in 30 years of cruising!
Arriving in Greenock on princess ship and very easily found the Timberbush tour guides and parking area of private tour buses. The people who previously complained about that must need their hands held every step of the way. Wee Davie was a fabulous tour guide and driver. Yes, he’s Scottish so yes he has an accent. How can you expect otherwise? But we acclimated quickly and enjoyed his very informative and educated commentary. Stirling is a quaint town and nice castle to visit. Definitely prebook castle tickets and dress in layers! Callandar was a great town to have a delicious lunch in the MHOR bread shop. Oh my the pastries are BEYOND! Great souvenirs to be purchased in the local shops there. Lovely stop to feed some cows and nice visit to Loch Lomond complete with a quick visit to a whiskey shop where you can buy locally distilled whiskey. A long day but broken up and a great way to spend your port day! Wee Davie was a highlight with his fun sense of humor.

Great day trip from...
Great day trip from Edinburgh. Scott met us at the rail station and led us through the city in an informative and relaxed tour. He was great at showing us historical and cultural ( murals were beautiful ) points of interest. He also shared spots to get a great meal, which we did take his advice for a delicious lunch at an Italian restaurant.

Informative leisurely walk around Glasgow
Not only informative but highly entertaining. Stephen our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. We met at the prearranged stop and took a leisurely paced walk to some of the city highlights and attractions. Stories and facts abound delivered in a cheery fashion. Was a great way to get your bearings and revisit some of the spots you might want to take a better look at. Great value for money. Highly recommend.

Worthwhile outing!!! A must!
Wonderful way to combine tea time with a visual tour of city!! The food was so good we were stuffed-plenty of carbs, sweets, tea, champagne and gin overfilled our tummies ( including gluten free!!). Had bathroom break halfway thank goodness. Ended with a great sing along through the streets. The tour didn’t go deep into historical facts on every turn BUT THAT IS OK!! We got a visual tour of the circumference of city to help us acclimate to Glasgow while enjoying a unique fun time inside bus. The three bus hosts were tremendous and worked their tails off to make sure we had everything we needed including incredible gluten free trays for my friend!!!
