Great day trip from Glasgow
Our tour to Glencoe, Glenfinnan and Fort William was excellent. The scenery was beautiful and very diverse. Glenfinnan was interesting and there were great views of the monument and lake as well as the viaduct from the viewpoint up the hill. The Glencoe area was majestic. Fort William was interesting. Would liked to have a little more time there to explore more of the town. Our guide Callum was very informative and gave us lots of history of the areas we travelled. He had a great playlist of songs as we travelled through the different areas. Luss village that we visited on the way back was beautiful and charming. I would highly recommend this day trip out of Glasgow.

Sterling Castle
We had a great time visiting Stirling Castle, loch Lamond, highland Coo’s and driving all through the beautiful countryside. We are still awestruck over the unspoiled beauty of Scotland. Our bus driver wishing people a Merry Christmas and our guide resighting a highland poem (whatever it meant) were highlights of our day! Thanks for great memories! We would highly recommend this tour.

An interesting and thorough overview of Glasgow center
Scott’s tour exceeded our expectations. As a guide Scott was personable, knowledgeable, and intentional about where we took us and the information he offered. We learned a great deal about historic and current Glasgow, covered a lot of ground, and went at a pace that was perfect for us.

Absolutely amazing tour and highly recommended
Absolutely amazing!
We recently took the Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glencoe & Loch Shiel Tour from Glasgow and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Everything ran incredibly smoothly — the pickup in Glasgow was on time, the van was comfortable, and the itinerary flowed beautifully without any rush or delays.
Our tour guide, Alan, was outstanding — easily one of the most knowledgeable guides we’ve ever had. His passion for Scotland shone through as he shared fascinating details about the ins and outs of Scottish history, the dramatic mountains, the mountain stories, and the geology and folklore of the Highlands. He made every stop come alive with context, and we learned so much while still having plenty of time to enjoy the views and take photos.
The highlights were incredible:
Glencoe was absolutely majestic — the scale of the valley and the rugged peaks left us speechless. Alan’s stories about the Glencoe Massacre and the dramatic landscape made it even more memorable.
Loch Shiel was peaceful and stunning, with that perfect mix of water, mountains, and quiet beauty. It felt like stepping into a postcard.
We enjoyed every single bit of the day — the scenery was world-class, the pace was ideal, and the whole experience felt personal and special thanks to the small group size and Alan’s expertise. This was easily one of the best day tours we’ve done in Scotland. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the real magic of the Highlands!
Thank you Alan and the whole of your amazing team — we’ll definitely be back for another tour with you guys, next time probably to Skye or Isle of Mull.

Tony provides a great experience of the Scottish Highlands
Tony can tour Scotland in a class above other guides. I wish I had taken all my tours with him.
- clear understanding of history
- extra stops that will delight
- non rushed experiences that will allow you to see everything.
- safe driving
And courteous and kind host.
If all Discover Scotland tours are this well run , you can’t go wrong. He made for a memorable day in our final day of a Scottish vacation.

Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond with Peter
Peter was an excellent guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the day. The castle tour was amazing and you still had time to explore more on your own. Lunch was a fun stop where we eat and shopped. Loch Lomond cruise was very windy and cold but there was a place to go to get out of it. We really enjoyed the history lesson along the way. Peter was knowledgeable and charming. The kilt was an added touch.

Wee Davie brings the highlands to life
What a fantastic tour of the Highlands, all brought to life by the commentary and wit of Wee Davie. So many interesting points mentioned, and top class scenery, from Loch Lomond to Loch Ness, Ben Nevis, stories of the clans and battles, and the highland ‘coos’.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, a great way to spend a day in Scotland

Outlander & Beyond!
Great tour of some interesting historical landmarks in the area north of Glasgow & Edinburgh. It was themed around the Outlander tv programne, but you didn't need to be a fan to appreciate the history.
One castle we visited was used for the filming of Monty Python & the Holy Grail and 'horses' were available to purchase from their gift shop!
The tour was hosted by Grant - a lovely local guy - with lots of interesting historical facts & fascinating snippets to bring the journey to life.
A fab day out!

Standing Stones and Castles
This was an amazing small group tour. Callum was an awesome guide who kept everyone engaged. He was able to make the day fun and enjoyable for everyone despite us each having different expectations. The stops were interesting and varied. I highly recommend this trip.

Great day trip from...
Great day trip from Edinburgh. Scott met us at the rail station and led us through the city in an informative and relaxed tour. He was great at showing us historical and cultural ( murals were beautiful ) points of interest. He also shared spots to get a great meal, which we did take his advice for a delicious lunch at an Italian restaurant.

Worthwhile outing!!! A must!
Wonderful way to combine tea time with a visual tour of city!! The food was so good we were stuffed-plenty of carbs, sweets, tea, champagne and gin overfilled our tummies ( including gluten free!!). Had bathroom break halfway thank goodness. Ended with a great sing along through the streets. The tour didn’t go deep into historical facts on every turn BUT THAT IS OK!! We got a visual tour of the circumference of city to help us acclimate to Glasgow while enjoying a unique fun time inside bus. The three bus hosts were tremendous and worked their tails off to make sure we had everything we needed including incredible gluten free trays for my friend!!!
