Early morning, depart Addis Ababa, driving south through the Rift Valley, then east to the Awash National Park. Lunch in the park, followed by some rest time. In the afternoon, take a short game drive through the Ilala Sala Plain in the southern part of the Park. This offers a chance to see the local wildlife, such as oryx, baboons, kudu, warthogs, gazelles and colubus monkeys.
