Best countryside tour and very authentic Irish outing
A great variety in the day and highly recommend! Comfortable bus, plenty of restroom stops, and food options. Holding the baby lambs was the highlight along with the charming town of Kilkenny and of course the hike at Glendalough in Wicklow area. Strongly recommend! Little kids loved the baby lambs but got bored quickly with the scenery - but then they enjoyed the little towns with castles and walking. Strongly recommend this tour!

Horseback riding was fun and the scenery was beautiful! Quick stops at Guinness Lake and in the Wicklow Mountains for photo ops were nice, as well. Glendalough was a nice, short hike around the lower lake, and the Monastic Settlement ruins were interesting to see. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly.

Linda was a fantastic guide! Lots of interesting anecdotes and history, and was very open to modifying the your however we wanted to. We had lots of laughs and enjoyed the tour very much! Glendalough was gorgeous, lunch was very good, and the gardens at Powerscourt are a must-see. Highly recommend!

Beautiful nature & sheep!
Beautiful nature, and sheep demo was also fun!
Long day, but the bus was pretty comfortable. Lunch option in Glendalough is limited (food trucks) or a hotel. We did food trucks since we wanted to see the lake and the monastic ruins. Overall, would recommend!

Kilkenny and Glendalough and sheepdog trials
Really fun. Kilkenny is quaint. Love seeing the Catholic history at Glendalough. Relaxing walking time, and the sheepdog trials were great.

Lovely town, beautiful views, and cute baby lambs!
A very nice tour and a perfect day out of Dublin! Just enough time in Kilkenny to shop a little, climb the tower and see the cathedral. Could have spent another hour touring the castle. Hiking Glendalough was wonderful - plenty of time to go the whole way around the lower lake and get ice cream. But the highlight was holding the baby lambs at the sheepdog demonstration! Five stars!

Dublin - An authentic experience!
Liam was amazing and pushed our experience over the top. Glendalough and the Wicklow mountains took our breath away and we loved Dublin! Liam took us to a pub where we had the most delicious Irish stew and he taught us many Irish -isms; such as … follow me, I’m right behind you. Lol. What a great tour! I can’t recommend it enough.

Watch your step
The walking tour/ Hike offered some great photo opportunities. The natural beauty was really nice. I’d suggest the park enforce pet waste as the trail had many dog bits along the way left for hikers. The Glendalough tour was nice and a great chance to learn about early Christianity in Ireland.

When to visit

Glendalough is a popular attraction for history buffs, families seeking open spaces, and outdoor enthusiasts.
The ground may be soft or muddy, so pack your hiking boots and bring along layers of waterproof clothing.
To see the full complex, be prepared for a significant amount of walking, as the site is spread across several locations surrounding the two lakes.
Visit the Glendalough Visitor Centre, where a video and exhibition shed light on the history of the monuments.
