Great day in Kilkenny
Great day overall. Ian our guide and Sara the driver were excellent. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The sights were fabulous to the point that my only quibble is that I didn't get to spend enough time in Kilkenny or Glendalough. Not really a complaint, but more about being impressed with the sights. The highlight of.the day was the sheep.dog demo. Very impressed watching the dog work. He made it look so easy.

This was our first tour...
This was our first tour out of Dublin and it did not disappoint! From the town of Kilkenny to the Wicklow Mountains to Glendalough, the day was amazing. And to top it off, the sheep dog trials were incredible! Watching Spot work was simply amazing! There was a lot of walking involved in the tour, so we were exhausted by the end of the day, but it was well worth it!

Driving through lush Irish countryside
The drive out was interesting, past farms and Irelands 'forty shades of green'. The WiFi on board wasn't working but bus driver and tour guide Declan gave me directions to my next stop, the Emigration museum, so that was nice. Glendalough was a little underwhelming - mostly what looked like modern reconstructions - but I probably should have paid the extra to go into the Visitor Centre there.

Dublin - An authentic experience!
Liam was amazing and pushed our experience over the top. Glendalough and the Wicklow mountains took our breath away and we loved Dublin! Liam took us to a pub where we had the most delicious Irish stew and he taught us many Irish -isms; such as … follow me, I’m right behind you. Lol. What a great tour! I can’t recommend it enough.

Watch your step
The walking tour/ Hike offered some great photo opportunities. The natural beauty was really nice. I’d suggest the park enforce pet waste as the trail had many dog bits along the way left for hikers. The Glendalough tour was nice and a great chance to learn about early Christianity in Ireland.

Magical
Noel is very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. The Wicklow mountains were so beautiful. Went for a walk along the Irish Sea. Glendalough was unbelievable - so magical. Noel was a great guide. “Guinness” Lake stunning.

Tour was managed well....
Tour was managed well. The tour guide, Pat, and the driver, Conor, were both friendly and professional. Departures were on time and instructions on stops were clear. It was a good way for us to see Glendalough and Kilkenny since we don’t rent a car while in Ireland.

Great day trip out of Dublin to Glendalough and Kilkenny
Mike and Adam were great host and driver for our day trip outta Dublin to Glendalough, Wicklow gap, and Kilkenny. They did a great job with the tour to be informative and helpful kind hosts. The day was perfectly designed to give us a good amount of time at each stop. They also did walking tours with informative historical facts at both locations as well as during the driving. Would definitely recommend and do it again!

Well Worth the Price!
This was a wonderful tour! Oli is an engaging, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable guide who not only educated us the whole way but also entertained us through the less exciting parts of the drive. The sites were beautiful, moving, and just plain fun. The bus was clean, comfortable, had free wifi, and a bathroom. Time and money well spent!

The best day with the best guide and driver, Philip and Liam
We had such a great time on this tour our guide Philip was fantastic. He gave a lot of information of history as we drove along to all the different sites very knowledgeable and friendly and funny. Our driver. Liam was awesome as well. He was a very safe driver never a concern of safety. This duo was awesome. Wish we could take another tour with the same guide and driver..

A day outside of Dublin
Can’t find a nicer-more welcoming host in Pat and driver, Alec. Pat is a riot and so kind! The bus is very clean—no eating or drinking on the bus.

When to visit

Glendalough is a popular attraction for history buffs, families seeking open spaces, and outdoor enthusiasts.
The ground may be soft or muddy, so pack your hiking boots and bring along layers of waterproof clothing.
To see the full complex, be prepared for a significant amount of walking, as the site is spread across several locations surrounding the two lakes.
Visit the Glendalough Visitor Centre, where a video and exhibition shed light on the history of the monuments.
