Great experience, fantastic guide!

We did the 5 day Wild Atlantic Way trip which we bought through Viator (Viator website had it as 5 day magical southern explorer small group tour). I communicated with Leah at Overland after making the booking through Viator to confirm preferences, dietary restrictions etc and got back confirmation that she had received that information and passed it along. We were told to meet out tour guide outside of the hotel and were there on time. Met with the tour guide/Nick who had not been updated (by Leah or anyone at the main office it seems) that we would be joining his tour (which was already halfway done as the other people on the tour did the 10 day trip and this was day 5 for them). And, we had two nights out of 4 where our hotel check in was not as smooth as for everyone else because of the 1/2 way joining. Thankfully, Nick quickly sorted any issues out for us. Nick was an absolutely fantastic guide and took our “surprise” addition to the tour in stride and quickly welcomed us. He was down to earth, funny, knowledgeable, flexible and is an asset to the Overland team. He is clearly proud to be Irish and loves what he does. He has a way with getting the group to come together and established a camaraderie with everyone. He scheduled ample time in each place so that we never felt rushed and always had good tips for the best photos and how to minimize crowds. He also added a few places that were not part of the itinerary that just added to the experience The tour itself was a great tour to see the highlights in a short amount of time and we would definitely recommend it, and Nick! The hotels were good, and breakfasts had something for everyone. The breakfast at the Marina Lodge in Dingle were excellent! Nick gave a few lunch and dinner suggestions for each place and the restaurants he recommended were great! We were also lucky that the rest of the people in our group were friendly and warm. We had a total of 15 people in our group, including us. Definitely would recommend Nick and Overland Tours.
