Tour full of hidden gems we would’ve missed on our own
We had an amazing experience on the Sacred Valley tour. Everything was perfectly organized and ran smoothly from start to finish. Our guide, Juan, was truly exceptional — knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of the region. He made the entire day unforgettable.
We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cusco.

Valentin is very, very...
Valentin is very, very knowledgable about Peru. It was so great having a guide who grew up in the Sacred Valley and knows the locals. It was so informative to learn about the day-to-day life of the Andean villages (e.g. diet, weather, economy, agriculture). If you want an in-depth and thorough understanding of this wonderful region of Peru, this is a great tour to take.

Fantastic!
What a fantastic tour! Our guide Jaime was excellent, also worth mentioning our driver Celestino. Tania made sure we had everything ready for a wonderful day!

This is a great...
This is a great informative trip, very well organized.
Thanks to Juan who made it interesting (in various languages!). It is visible that he is impressed by the Inca culture and wisdom. We learned so much about Incas’ discoveries, science and religious believes. Also very convenient to have the option to end the trip in Ollantaytambo.

Great experience
We really enjoyed our visit to the sacred valley. This was my second time in the sacred valley, we booked it the evening before, had some correspondence on WhatsApp around pickup and the trip went smoothly. The guide was professional, interesting and spoke across Spanish and English the whole day.

A very enjoyable day in the Sacred Valley
A very enjoyable day in the Sacred Valley. We visited three Incan sites, the Maras site mines, two 'cultural stops' (which normally we're not keen on as these tend to include forced selling but were actually quite interesting) and stopped for lunch.
Jimy, our guide, was extremely knowledgable and passionate about the Incan culture and history. We learnt a lot throughout the day with him.
The pace and time at each site is about right. We spent 30-60 minutes at Pisac and Ollantaytambo and 15-30 minutes Maras and Moray. Lunch is quite late in the afternoon, around 2pm, but this is probably unavoidable due to the itinerary and location of each site. I'd suggest bringing snacks.
Lunch could be better. It is a buffet-style meal in this big empty hall with very average food, none of it labelled or covered from the flies. We stuck to the plainer options (rice, pasta, etc).
I would definitely recommend this tour run by Willka Travel, especially if you are heading to Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu afterwards like us as we got dropped off in the centre of Ollantaytambo, 5-10 minutes walk from the train station.

When to visit

Ollantaytambo Ruins is a must for archaeology and history buffs, as well as first-time visitors to the Sacred Valley.
Wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be walking a lot on uneven stones. The best view—a panorama of the remains of several temples and ceremonial fountains—is atop 200 steps.
Because of the high altitude, be sure to stay hydrated and take it slow. Chewing on coca leaves or drinking coca tea helps alleviate symptoms of altitude sickness.
Tours operate in all weather conditions, so remember to dress appropriately: sweaters for colder months and a rain poncho for rainy season.
