The entrance fee for the museum and church on Our Lady of the Rocks is currently €2. This fee does not include access to the island, with return boat trips from Perast starting at around €5 for a water taxi. Guided tours that include transport from Kotor are typically about €27, while tours that also visit the Blue Cave are closer to €45.

Our Lady of the Rocks is a small island, so what there is to see and do is not extensive. Besides enjoying the bay’s scenery, visitors can go inside the Church of Our Lady of the Rocks and its attached museum to learn the island’s history and legends, plus pop into the island’s small gift shop.

Visitors will find that they need at most one hour to visit the island of Our Lady of the Rocks, and even that should be plenty of time due to its small size. The boat ride from Perast takes around 10 minutes each way and the guided tour inside the church and museum typically lasts 20 minutes.

Although you will be visiting a church, wearing shorts and a T-shirt to the island is acceptable. Visitors may want to bring a camera, water, and a hat if visiting on a hot day, as the island has limited shade. It’s helpful to have some cash if you might wish to buy something at the island gift shop.

Visitors with reduced mobility will encounter several accessibility issues at Our Lady of the Rocks. First, there’s the matter of getting from the boats onto the island: this requires climbing several steps for smaller boats, while large boats may have gangplanks. There are also stairs within the tight interior of the Church of Our Lady of the Rocks, which limits its accessibility.
