Great ghost tour with knowledgeable guide

I did the ghost and legends tour with Tudor on a rainy cold night. Despite the weather, the group was in good spirits, eager to hear stories about ghosts, demons, witches, and vampires. Tudor is a very knowledgeable guide who tailors the tours to the tastes of the group, drawing from rich knowledge about all things supernatural and explaining Romanian traditions and beliefs incredibly well. A brilliant spooky tour that led us past fascinating places and maybe a little too close to haunted buildings.

Great wines in a friendly atmosphere.

I was given a warm welcome, then poured a lovely selection of Romanian wines from native grape varieties. It was a great introduction to varieties and regions I previously knew nothing about, but will certainly be looking for in the future! The tasting was two hours, although I'm sure I could have stayed for longer if I had wanted. I was encouraged to take my time trying the generous servings along with a nice selection of cheeses and meats. This is well worth booking if, like me, you love wine but are not familiar with Romanian wines.

Serban Riga was a top notch guide for our comfortable mini-van group!! He gave us pertinent information on the way to our destination, knew the cleanest restrooms & money exchanges, and regularly went over our itinerary and timeline providing options to keep everyone happy! Best in the business. Guide for the Day, Friend for Life!

Christina was just a joy as a guide. Not only does she know the city like the back of her hand and the history of Romania, but she had so many personal and differing perspectives to share about various events. It was invaluable time spent together. We spent more time together than our allotted time just due to good conversations. I would highly recommend her to anyone coming to Bucharest. And Bart lost out on her great potential! She is a gem!!!

This was a great trip....

This was a great trip. The views were breath taking (we got to experience the first snow of the mountain), our guide Sebastian was very knowledgeable and helpful, and even though we were unable to see bears on this trip (too cold and wet in the mountains) I would do this tour again. I would highly recommend this trip and if possible make it a trip for 2-3 but I have no doubt that a group of more wouldn't be great. I would also plan to come late spring to mid summer. The bears should be more active. But respect the bears and their distance.

A Definite Private tour with Marius

This experience with Marius is not to be missed while visiting Bucharest. We were shown the synagogues and cemetery as described but the one on one with Marius was the highlight of our tour. He has a wealth of knowledge of the Jewish community and provided the insight to appreciate those lives beyond a century ago. Any interest in the Jewish heritage of this magnificent Romanian city should be scheduled with Marius, no disappointment will occur.

Worthwhile

We found ourselves with a day to spare in Bucharest and this was a very good option. Although the journey is quite long, the views into Veliko Tarnovo gorge are beautiful. For us, the real highlight was Arbanasi's Church of the Nativity with its simply stunning frescoes. We had to find our own way there, but it's only 10 minutes' walk and not to be missed.

We had Ed as a guide and he was AMAZIN G!! He taught us so much history and fun f acts that we did not know. My girlfriend is f rom Romania and she was even left in ama zement at all the new information she learn ed. He is an excellent guide, kind, friendly a nd accepting! An excellent tour

Toni was excellent at giving us an introduction to the city.. We thought the open air Museum was lovely and beautiful and well worth a visit. My favorite part was seeing some historical sites in the city and hearing about the history of communism in Romania. I appreciated the the refresher course on the fall of communism. I remember vividly watching it on the news as it was happening years ago, but being in the place where it happened really brought it to life. We definitely would recommend this tour.

An excellent overview of Bucharest’s history and culture.

We both had a very enjoyable time with Alina. Her knowledge and enthusiasm of Bucharest was excellent and the tour was full of interesting facts about the local customs, history and culture of the city and what it’s like to live in Bucharest over the past decades and which still very much lives on today. I would very much recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city. We found a great help having it early on in our day as it was a was a great starting point for the few days we spent in Bucharest. If you’re lucky enough to have Alina as your guide that will be an extra bonus.

Great time had by all

Absolutely fantastic, the guides where brilliant so lovely and friendly . If you like a party and a good dance this is the pub crawl to do it in . Such a good atmosphere a great way to see the old town bars and meet new ppl who are traveling to . We went as a group of 5 girls all celebrating our big 40. The bars where great atmosphere was brilliant and the staff where lovely. Would definatley recommend , even if your travelling sold , as a couple or a group you will not be disappointed.
