Departing directly from Narvik Harbour, we travel in a comfortable coach through spectacular fjord and mountain scenery. But the northern lights are more than a scientific phenomenon. Along the way, your guides will share fascinating local history and Sámi traditions connected to the dancing lights. How the Northern Lights Safari Works Your journey begins at the Rampen Adventure Hub, where you’ll receive a short introduction to the evening’s program and what to expect. From there, we set off by car, guided to the locations that offer the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights. If the weather and conditions allow, we will step out into nature, breathe in the crisp Arctic night, and enjoy something warm to drink as we wait for the skies to come alive.

On this night tour, you’ll see a little bit of everything. Starting in the center of Bodø, you’ll ride through the city, passing local life until you hit your destination: Ausvika Beach. It’s an easy 5-mile (8-km) bike ride followed by a short walk along the sea. Upon arrival, find a cozy spot by the bonfire surrounded by the sound of crashing waves—this is a fantastic spot to catch the northern lights, or aurora borealis.
