Top Bodo Catamaran Cruises

Experience authentic whale watching from Andenes; one of Europe’s top locations where deep waters lie just offshore. Our spacious, stable vessels offer a comfortable journey with heated indoor lounges, large viewing decks, and onboard refreshments. Unlike smaller high-speed boats, you can enjoy the experience at a relaxed pace. Our expert guides provide engaging insights into whale behaviour and the Arctic ecosystem. On selected departures, we use a hydrophone to help locate whales beneath the surface. We follow responsible whale watching practices at all times. And if no whales are seen, your Whale Pass allows you to join another tour free of charge.

Experience whale watching as a true Arctic expedition. Departing from the small fishing village of Stø, this full-day safari takes you directly to deep offshore waters near Bleik Canyon, one of Norway’s most active whale areas. Combine whales and seabirds watching in one journey. In addition to spotting species such as sperm whales, orcas, and pilot whales, the return route passes by Anda Island—home to puffins, sea eagles, and thousands of seabirds during summer. Unlike shorter or high-speed tours, this experience focuses on time, comfort, and immersion. The spacious vessel offers both indoor seating and open decks, allowing you to enjoy the Arctic environment at your own pace. Hot soup, coffee, and biscuits are served onboard, making it a relaxed and enjoyable day at sea. Guided by experienced local crew, you’ll gain real insight into whale behavior, the marine ecosystem, and life along the Arctic coast—turning the tour into both a wildlife encounter and an educational experience.

Combine 2 highlights of the Bodø region on this half day tour. Glide silently through majestic Nordfjord and step into history with a visit to Kjerringøy Handelssted. As we depart from Bodø we sail along the rugged coastline around Bodø. On the way we can admire the stunning mountain on Landegode and the picturesque narrow beach of Hovsundet. We sail into Mistfjorden, which at times does its name justice. Towards the end of the fjord it splits into two and we enter the narrow arm of Nordfjorden where mountains up to 800 meters rise high above us on either side. We continue to Kjerringøy where we will step on land and make a 10 minute stroll to breathtaking Kjerringøy Handelssted. This 19th century trading post has several well preserved buildings, including several beautiful old wooden boats. Roam around the open air museum and imagine what life would be like here 200 years ago. On the way back to Bodø, you can enjoy the unobstructed views over Vestfjorden.
