Towards the end of the fjord it splits into two and we enter the narrow arm of Nordfjorden where mountains up to 800 meters rise high above us on either side. We continue to Kjerringøy where we will step on land and make a 10 minute stroll to breathtaking Kjerringøy Handelssted. This 19th century trading post has several well preserved buildings, including several beautiful old wooden boats.
