This was such an amazing experience. The view from the Wall was truly breathtaking and it was amazing to avoid the crowds that you can find at other sections. I would say you need to be in very good physical condition because it’s a challenging hike, with lots of up and down stairs and steep parts. But it’s all worth it. Thank you to our guide Jackie!

We went to Tian’anmen square and forbidden city. It was a great experience. Jenny was a wonderful tour guide. She found the shortest security line for us (which was imperative on a hot summer day). She was very knowledgeable and easy going. I would definitely recommend her.

We had a wonderful day with Nancy and the Great Wall! Communication leading up to the day was clear, and we had a solid plan in place before we even started. Nancy and our driver picked us up right on time, and as we drove up we chatted and talked through what we were hoping to get out of the day. She handled all the tickets and access, and offered great guidance and suggestions throughout our excursion. We chose to take the gondola up and the toboggan down. There was about an hour and twenty minute wait for the toboggan, but it was such a fun and unique way to come down the hills that it was well worth it. Afterward, we enjoyed a delicious local lunch that was wonderfully accommodating. We had also mentioned an interest in tea houses and jade, and Nancy worked both into our day, giving us the chance to explore and experience each one. Nancy is knowledgeable, flexible, and happy to follow your lead, all while being engaging, positive, and an absolute joy to spend the day with. Highly recommend!

Candice is probably the best tour guide I’ve ever had in China. She’s so fluent in English and explaining things so well. We enjoyed a lot during our tour at the forbidden city. Kids learned so much about the culture and history. We will certainly book a trip with her again.

Linda, our guide, was absolutely amazing. She was kind and considerate, friendly and a wealth of knowledge about these significant Beijing landmarks. Mr Liu, our driver, was the best driver - patient despite the traffic, calm, and he made sure that we had plenty if water to stay hydrated in the hot conditions. Traveled with the family in late June. You need to be in pretty good physical condition for this tour as the terrain here is fairly steep. Cindy our guide was great in navigating us. The kids enjoyed the toboggan ride down the wall after the climb. The panda experience was sort of a miss because when we arrived only two of the pandas were available to be seen, the other ones were asleep. Since we were in a private group, we asked for the non-buffet lunch and Cindy brought us to a local restaurant to try traditional dishes to the area which I would highly recommend.

If you're visiting the Great Wall at Mutianyu, book with Ken — you won't regret it! Ken was punctual, friendly, and made the whole day feel effortless. What truly set him apart was how far he went — literally. He accompanied me all the way up to Tower 23, which is no small feat, showing incredible dedication and genuine enthusiasm throughout the day. This wasn't just a tour — it felt like exploring the Great Wall with a friend who truly wanted to make the experience special. Highly, highly recommended. Thank you Ken! 🙏

Our guide was Maggie, she’s very knowledgeable & a fluent English speaker. She brought the history of the Great Wall & Summer Palace to life for us, connecting the history we learnt in the forbidden city 2 days before. You will gain so much more by having a guide, plus of course the local knowledge she shared with us all. The great wall is just that, great, an amazing feat of construction in a mountain top location, very well restored with stunning views. There’s a lot of steps but it’s so worth it & less crowded than the other common location to visit. We went up by chairlift, great views & chose the toboggan ride to come down, good fun! The summer palace is well worth a visit, the centre piece being the huge lake & the world’s longest corridor. Set in beautiful gardens, the summer residence of the Emporers. A great day with a great guide!
