What are people saying about Bay of Islands

Great day out
Very good, professional tour. Safety and care of the passengers on the boat was very evident. The had 2 stops and were able to walk to the lookout for both. The weather was very kind to us, and we were able to appreciate the views, rain would have made this much more difficult The crew were attentive and made sure everyone was ok when we were in open water and it was rougher. We learnt alot about the area through the Captain's commentary

Great way to see the Bay of Islands
We went on this experience as adults with children and all of us had a great time. There was some choppy seas once we were in the open ocean (and some very green kids as a result!) but Nick did his absolute best to navigate through the water and we ended up having an enjoyable and memorable time. Audrey was an absolute stand-out, keeping spirits high while simultaneously handing out sick bags. The trip back and stopping on an island were a particular highlight, when the seas were calmer and we could enjoy the stunning views.

Although it is a long day...
Although it is a long day as there are many KMs to cover, this trip shows a lovely outlook of the NZ landscape with its beautiful rolling green hills with and without native bush, and the beautiful sea views of NZ's many beautiful beaches mostly accompanied with our beautiful pohutakawa tree. This is what makes NZ so unique compared to the rest of the world with the time to chill out and take in the big space. However, Cape Reinga has its own special place, not only being the most northern point in NZ but it is a very spiritual place and there is a sense of calmness here when you visit it. You also see the Tasman sea and Pacific Ocean meat at a triangular point. - It is a very special place. Other entertaining things are the sandunes, driving on the sand along 90 mile beach, finding and eating Tuatua (pipi) and having a laugh. Our driver Willie, was amazing. He entertained us pretty much for the entire day with history of area and jokes and singing. We also learnt a couple of maori songs. A great day

Enjoyable in spite of awful weather.
Inspite of really poor weather we really enjoyed the trip. Experienced and knowledgeable skipper meant that even though the sea was rough we were able to reach the hole in the rock even if we could not go through. Sadly no marine life was seen that day but we enjoyed a nice lunch and walk on the island before heading back to Russell
