Do this tour!
We are so glad we signed up for a stargazing night with Night Owl Tours!! We initially were on the fence because we didn't know if it would be worth it, but we really enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone who has any interest at all in seeing and learning about what's in the night sky. Chris is an amazing guide - he's incredibly knowledgeable, very entertaining and funny, and clearly very passionate about what he does. He had some very cool equipment that allowed us to see stars, planets, star clusters, galaxies, and more. He had comfortable chairs and blankets for the group and gave detailed instructions for how to get to the meeting location. Everything was very professional and well worth it. Twelve out of ten, highly recommend!

Amazing experience!!
This was a fantastic experience! I went on the photography tour - there were only 4 of us. We had 3 hrs total to walk around and take as many pictures as we wanted! Tripods were allowed which was a huge plus! Our guide Josh was informative, patient, and also an amazing photographer!! I can’t recommend this tour highly enough!!! Thank you!!!

Stunning and magical
Whilst this does seem expensive, it is a do not miss experience. There were a lot of people at the meeting point but we were dealt with efficiently and distributed to various vehicles. The vehicles all looked in good condition and enclosed - we noticed some other tours had open air vehicles which would have meant a face full of sand on the journey through the dry valley of sand to the canyon. Our guide was respectful of everyone, including those slightly less able, and never rushed us, although there is always another group in front of you and one behind (so the push comes from behind). Clearly they have a good system re the pace of progression through the canyon. It is not very long, so there is no need for a fast pace, and there was plenty of time to admire and take photos. Indeed our guide knew how to take the best photos and took many on our behalf. He also had a lot of knowledge. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
We booked for the 11.45am tour in order to get the best light, and indeed our guide confirmed independently that around the middle of the day when the sun it at it's highest is the best time re light within the canyon (being a slot canyon this makes sense). He said if you want the absolute best light you need to visit in the height of summer when it is very hot outside, but cooler in the canyon (you'll be glad of those air conditioned vehicles then!).
You are only allowed to take a phone / camera. No bag, however, small.

Mountains, Cactus, and Pure Beauty
Jake, first of all is a great tour guide. The tour is great it starts with a bit of history in old town Scottsdale and then out to the mountains. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and Jake is so knowledgeable about all the different cactus, plants, and the mountain range. You get to hike a bit and stop at an old mining ghost town. It is a very nice tour.

The COOLEST hike ever!!
2 hours, 2 miles, up to 1800 feet, moderately strenuous night hike complete with reflective vests, UV flashlights, water, and amazing beauty of the flora and fauna of the area surrounding Squaw Mountain. Paul was the perfect guide. Very knowledgeable about different cacti, etc. Surreal getting an up-close view of glowing scorpions while listening to coyotes howl in the distance while looking at the city twinkling lights below. Exceeded my expectations!

Best Photography Experience
Not only is the Grand Canyon a magical place, but when you have an amazing photographer to capture the beauty and proper lighting, it’s even better! Rosaria was patient while we worked with crowds and finding the best lighting for photos. She gave suggestions of poses that have turned out well for other clients, and she took her time with best angles. We had an amazing time with her, and we are looking forward to seeing the photos!
