Magic with the condors
We came to see the condors and were not disappointed! Our guide, Ivan, was wonderful! He made the experience magical, especially playing a couple of songs on his flute. He was particularly attentive, as I had a bad stomach and he stopped a number of times to let me take care of things.

A wonderful tour of Colca Canyon!
A wonderful tour to Colca Canyon! We were lucky to see several condors. The dip in the hot springs was nice and the area is clean with changing rooms and toilets. Most stops had toilets but no toilet on the bus. Make sure to allow time to adjust in Arequipa before heading to Colca Canyon which is 10,000+ feet above sea level. Bring altitude sickness medication and coca leaf products to help.

Exceptional Colca Canyon trip
Fantastic trip to Colca Canyon. Our guide, Sline, shared so much information about the area, the animals, and the culture. He was exceptional. Our driver kept us safe on the long journey. We saw many condors, enjoyed the beauty of the canyon, passed thru several interesting towns, and reached an elevation of 16,000 feet! Highly recommend. Please note, the trip is a bit longer than suggested on the website - on our second day we were picked up at 7:00am, saw the condors and other sights, had lunch, and returned to Arequipa close to 4:00pm. A full day and worth every minute!

Not just a hike
My partner and I highly recommend this fantastic experience.
Our tour guide Alex was highly organized, knowledgeable, professional and caring.
The two days were packed with activity aside from the strenuous hike through the breathtaking Colca canyon. The overnight accommodation was very comfortable and the hosts were welcoming.
This was not just a hike but a two day experience.

Fantastic scenery
Great experience, the colca canyon offers a fantastic scenery. We saw some condors along the way, too. The hike is quite challenging, especially on the second day - it's going 1200 altitude meters up.
Planning was good, everything was taken care of, for example the transport of our luggage and the transfer to Puno (we had to change busses).
The included food was okay, but not great. Same for the accomodation: Oasis ecolodge was a little shabby. But for one night it was ok.

An incredible long trip where one sees a lot and does a lot with a great local guide.
A wonderful whole day experience to the Colca Canyon with lunch and sightseeing several condors and terminal spas with an incredible tour guide, Rosario.

Excellent trip to Colca Canyon
Colca canyon trip was amazing. The guide was very good. He stopped at every view points for long enough time to explore us. We were lucky to see 5-6 condors flying over the canyon. We went to the hot spring- it was super relaxing. Plus we had great food in both breakfast and lunch. I highly recommend this trip.

Excellent day trip
Communication was excellent as we were prepared for the early morning start and knew everything to bring. The vehicle was comfortable and we were able to sleep some on the dark drive to the canyon. Breakfast was at daybreak in a small local restaurant. It was simple yet good food and authentic. Next was the canyon. It is breathtaking and the condors are out early making the early start worth it. Then there is a visit to a small local town with opportunities to buy souvenirs. Then a trip to the hot springs which were wonderful. The buffet lunch before you go back was a little disappointing. Overall, it was a great tour. Our guide was great, both informative yet chill.

Hard on the knees
Great experience, but the first day is almost all going down hill (for approx 6hours) so if you have bad knees you should come prepared.

When to visit

Multi-day Colca Canyon tours often include visits to nearby attractions in the Arequipa region, such as Puno on Lake Titicaca or the Pampa Canahuas Reserve, famous for its wild vicunas.
Day trips from Arequipa to the canyon can last up to 14 hours.
You won’t need to buy Colca Canyon tickets or permits. While the attraction is free, joining a guided tour is safer than visiting independently.
Stave off altitude sickness by allowing yourself a couple of days to acclimate in Arequipa before attempting any activities.
Pack comfortable shoes and lots of warm clothing, especially if you plan to spend the night.
