What are people saying about Antigua

Challenging, but worth the effort.
As two 70 year old hikers not used to mountain terrain we found the hike up Pacaya to be medium difficulty. There were plenty of opportunities to set your own pace. Our guide was great. Horses were available, if needed. Hiking to volcano peak is not allowed, but views from to highest point allowed were amazing.

Pacaya Volcano ATV tour
Our guide was Diego and he was awesome. He was very informative and spoke very good English. If you are thinking of booking this tour I think it is helpful to know that you should have a lot of previous experience driving an ATV. I had driven one in the past once but I decided to have my husband drive instead of taking my own and I’m glad I did. The path going up the volcano was challenging with lots of sharp turns mixed with rock and sandy parts. I definitely would not have been able to maneuver the atv on this part of the tour. I would also recommend hiking boots as you get a lot of rocks in your shoes during the hike. Overall it was a great experience and it was awesome getting to know the other people in our group and Diego.

Special and Lovely
A very lovely experience. We had Oscar as our guide and he was incredible. Very approachable and also knowledgeable. The chocolate demonstration was very fun and interesting. Impossible not to buy a little bit of chocolate after. In the next town we stopped at the local jade manufacturer and again it was hard to resist buying a souvenir. Ending in Ciudad Vieja felt special, learning about the history of the old city and going into the market. Oscar knew everyone in the market and embraced him (and us) like family. It was a fantastic opportunity to see the towns just outside of Antigua and it overall just felt very special.

Amazing educational and fun experience
This was the highlight of our time in Antigua! Maykol’s farm is amazing, and going through the entire process of making our own coffee was so rewarding. We learned so much. The honey and avocados from the farm were DELICIOUS! Even better, he now has a beautiful air bnb on the property with an insane view from the upstairs. Highly recommend this tour and the home to anyone traveling to Antigua!

Fun way to see these sites
Such a fun way to see Altamira and the Cross. Ample time at both stops. 3rd stop canceled but they made up for it by giving us extra riding time.
First time on ATV and handled well. Tour guides were very friendly and obviously concerned for our safety. Definitely recommend.

Fun ATV Tour & Shopping with Leo!!!
My wife and I really enjoyed our fun cultural tour of small towns outside of Antigua. The town squares & churches were beautiful. Our guide Leo was very professional and his hand signals were very easy to follow. Leo was a super fantastic guide. In San Antonio we purchased hand made textiles from Lea. Prices much lower than Antigua! We had a delicious lunch in one of the small towns and stopped by a Chocolate association where me learned about cocoa beans and purchased some of Mayan Gods nectar chocolate and honey! The jade factory was lovely and we were able to find a masterpiece. Ask for Leo you can’t go wrong. Thanks Leo! Mark & Sheri

Such an incredible experience!!
This was such a fantastic experience! We tried so much food!!! Also the cocktail making class was the best surprise! Such a fun experience! I also can't believe we went to the 2nd capital of Antigua and saw the oldest church in Central America. I couldn't recommend this tour more strongly. Alejandro was fantastic and this was an incredible experience!
