What a great experience!, Cecil the owner was amazing and treated us to an in depth historical and geographical tour of the walled city of York. Excellent stories, especially the ghost and old world York characters. Easy riding and suggest you take the tour upon arrival to get orientated to the city. He also takes great pictures!!

Wonderful experience with our guide Cecil. Went at a leisurely pace on ride around York that captured the essence of York from past to present. Felt like I really got a sense of the city from Cecils entertaining stories. Highly recommend this tour!

Cecil was an excellent tour guide. The tour was suitable for people of all fitness levels and there were only a couple of slight inclines. Most of the tour was on the flat surface. We saw the main sites and attractions of York, with a full story behind their history from Cecil. A great idea to do whilst in York.

Great bike tour of York city centre with brilliant and very knowledgeable guide, Cecil. We learned about York’s history including the importance and influence of the Vikings and Romans - it was really interesting to be shown significant locations. We were also shown parts of the city we had never been to before including Rowntree Park and learned about the York’s chocolate industry past and how it helped to shape the city. The tour gave us a different take on a city we have visited many times. We would highly recommend this tour for both newcomers to the city and frequent visitors who would like to know more.

This was an amazing way to see York! We pretty much went around the entire city within the span of the tour. Our tour guide Cecil was fantastic and super knowledgeable on this history of York, taking us to well known places plus some hidden gems. The bike ride was enjoyable and leisurely and my husband and I had a fantastic time! The best way to see York hands down!

The guided cycle tour by Cecil was very enjoyable. Cecil was extremely knowledgeable about the history of York’s various locations and the whole tour was fun and informative.A great way we felt to see where everything was located around the centre of York.It was a very enjoyable 2 1/2 hours spent with a very friendly/pleasant guy.Would highly recommend this tour even if you haven’t cycled for a considerable length of time.

We had a great 2.5 hours with our guide from York Cycling Tours. Very friendly, informative and easy to be with. An easy flat ride covering many areas of York with lots of stops and interesting points along the way. Would definitely recommend.
