Such a good time! Me and 2 friends met up in York for the weekend. We love a ghost tour wherever we visit. This one was so good the right mix of novelty, humour and great story telling.
Tonia_G, May 2026
An absolutely brilliant experience. Funny and informative all the way through. The tour host was amazing, funny, witty and knowledgable. Mad, unpredictable and definitely money well spent.

The. Conducted was brikant and tried very hard to get the participants pm board but some of the storyline like Margaret possessing someone were a bit cheesy
Bridgeen_S, Apr 2026
A bit tatty and very noisy the conductor was very irritating and lacked charisma. Bus driver a nice man

I didn't find it hugely informative but man, was the fella a funny guy. What a great fun experience. I'd looked at the area online so knew a fair bit, so that's on me. However as an experience highly recommend it.
Gavin_F, Feb 2026
I didn't want to jump out of a moving bus, so it must have been alright.
Brilliant tour of the darker side of York, because it's at night.
10/10, would highly recommend because we love Bob. The other guy was quite funny too.
Adelle_C, Feb 2026

Lot of fun
Exciting
It was raining hard couldn’t see much but it was worth it
The conductor was good didn’t see much of the driver
David_R, Feb 2026
A lot better than in 2024. The compeer was thought provoking and entertaining. Had the right blend of spookiness and local history. My recommendation is that the owners or managing directors could vary the script a little for different times of the year as there are plenty of storytellers in York, and this was my 2nd time on the bus 18 months later.
Graham_W, Jan 2026
Highly enjoyable! Would recommend this tour...the time went really quickly and the guide was exceptional !
Well done to all concerned.
Amanda_M, Jan 2026
Save your money and do a self guided tour. Or take a daytime bus tour as it was difficult to see anything at night. Sort out the PA system and ventilate/heat the bus to remove condensation.
david_d, Jan 2026
It was a fun experience for all the family (2 children ages 12 and 10). We all had a giggle and after doing ghost walks previously it was a nice way of doing it that made it different. Our guide was great, very funny and engaging. Boo-is was adorable!
Andrew_C, Dec 2025
A great experience, a lovely old bus made to look Atmospheric, a bus driver ,Bob,with a skull mask on,and John who was excellent with his knowledge and his witty remarks and audience participation, we throughly enjoyed the Ghost bus tour and highly recommend. We could only get the late tour at 9pm and you might not see all the places pointed out as its dark.
Alan_M, Dec 2025
Great fun, all the family (kids and adults), enjoyed every minute. Frank Stein as conductor and Bob the driver were very professional
LEIGH_R, Dec 2025
I expected the tour to be stories of the paranormal etc but most of it was done as a joke. I couldn't tell if the places and events were real or not. We got off the bus at one point, this was dangerous as we had to follow the guide over a busy road at night. There was no attempt at safety to ensure everyone was back on the bus. Not in the least scarey, too much emphasis on jokes.
Justin_R, Dec 2025
Without a doubt, this was one of the worst ghost tours I’ve ever been on. Even if it had been free, I would have left disappointed.
Visibility was terrible — the windows were completely fogged up due to the weather and condensation, so you couldn’t see anything outside. The entire experience felt incredibly amateurish, like a couple of mates who bought a bus, skim-read a hop-on hop-off tour script about York, and tried (and failed) to make it sound funny.
It lacked atmosphere, professionalism, and any real sense of storytelling. Save your money — we genuinely wish we’d chosen a walking tour instead.
Steph_H, Dec 2025
Good bus, well themed, spooky facts and sights with a little comedy thrown in. Tour guide and Driver interacted with the passengers, was an enjoyable tour and worth the money.
