Helvig is charming, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. She gave us a private 3 hour, very comprehensive tour of Curaçao that brought the island alive for us. Our time with Helvig was thoroughly enjoyable. 10 stars!!!!!!

This one-to-one tour with Helvig on Curacao was the perfect way to see the entire island in just a couple of hours. She had a brand new, clean SUV with air and was a wonderful driver. She tailored the tour to my interests so we saw all sides of the island. We did stop at several beaches though taking in the sun wasn't on my agenda, taking in the gorgeous scenery was! She is deeply knowledgeable as someone born and raised on the island, and college educated abroad. She was able to provide an overview of the island its people, culture, history, economics, lifestyle and industry. I highly recommend both Helvig and this create your own 2-3 hour island tour. If you've never been to Curacao this is a great way to see the island and learn about it in a short visit. I left feeling I'd really seen Curacao. You can customize this tour to include a downtown walking tour as well. Helvig was delightful, professional and knowledgeable.

Helvig is the most knowledgeable tour guide we’ve ever experienced. As a native of Curaçao, she is personable and incredibly knowledgeable about the island, its people and their culture. This was the first private tour we’ve ever taken. The tour was reasonably priced. Her vehicle was comfortable and well-maintained. Helvig tailored the tour to our interests and made sure we saw the highlights of her island.

We booked a private 4-hour tour for my husband & I in Willemstad, Curacao. It was our first time here & we used AI to assist us in planning stops with a focus on photography, architecture and history. Thankfully we got Helvig van de Laarschot as our tour guide whose family has lived in Willenstadt for generations. She was more than happy to accommodate our requests for things we wanted to see. She was well versed in the history and all the private & charming alleyways. She was very personable and there was no question she could not answer. Her SUV was brand new & spotless. We were on a combination walking and driving tour and she certainly exceeded our expectations. The bonus is that she speaks fluent English, Dutch, Spanish, & French. We would hire her again in a heartbeat if and when we return to Willenstad!

Our private tour with Helvig was a most enjoyable and informative 3 hours. Our ship docked at 12:30 for a tour scheduled at 1:30. As we prepared to disembark, the heavens opened up. I contacted her because there was no feasible way for us to reach her in the rain.
She was more than accommodating allowing us to wait a little while until the rain let up.
It's obvious she love her country.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that loves that special touch

Helvig has found her true calling as a tour guide! She is from Curaçao, she loves Curaçao, & she is so well versed in the history of Curaçao! Having a tour guide who truly loves their city/country & is excited to share it with others is such a lovely thing.
Helvig let me at my hotel on time (early actually) & the 3 hour tour I did with her was simply spectacular! She asked what I was the most excited to see & we planned around that. We walked (at my request) over the Queen Emma bridge from Otrobanda to Punda. We saw so many amazing murals, other artwork, & government buildings & I really enjoyed hearing the stories behind them. Helvig enjoyed all the questions I asked in an attempt to learn as much as possible. She had bottled water for us in a cooler, which was a welcome relief from the heat. And she was kind enough to take my photo at some stops we made!
I would highly recommend booking a tour with Helvig to see downtown Willemstad & the surrounding areas! I would definitely book her again! 10/10! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Helping took us to interesting spots, Cathedral of Thorns, the Curacao Distillery, a drive through a few neighborhoods, etc. We even had time for shopping. It was a very enjoyable three hours.
