Exceptional tour guide Anita. Provided key info on island and where we were going. Took us to less crowded beach area to snorkel with turtles; excellent location and no other tour group there. 2nd beach stop also was great. Overall great experience. Would do it again. Tour guide and bus driver made this tour very enjoyable.

It was awesome… Very informative… Worth the money… Learned a lot about the island people their habitat and everything else not just sightseeing… The beach was great. The caves were awesome… And swimming with-the turtles was a great experience. The best of all was our tour guide and driver… We’ve been on over 30 excursions in our lifetime and Kurt was by far…the best that we’ve ever had !!!!!!!

Overview

Suit up and snorkel alongside sea turtles on this half-day guided tour in Curaçao. For cruise guests: Meeting point will be at 8:45AM or 1:45PM at the "Online reservations" tent inside the cruise terminal. Guides will have a sign with "Samurai Curacao Snorkeling with turtles" Guides Uniform is Red. For Hotel Guests: Samurai Curacao will contact you to indicate the pick up time. Pick up time will very between 45 to 10Min before start off tour. Meeting point will be at your hotel lobby. Guides Uniform is Red.

Itinerary

Choose from a morning or afternoon departure time and get picked up from the cruise ship terminal or your Curacao hotel before the start time.

Then get ready to experience the island’s marine life, including sea turtles, beginning at Playa Grandi. Whether you prefer snorkeling alongside these fascinating creatures or relaxing on the beach, this tour accommodates both options.

Following the turtle encounter, visit the Flamingo Sanctuary in Sint Willibrordus, where you can marvel at the pink birds in their natural habitat.

First off this tour was amazing because of the tour guide name Marsha. 23 years old and full of energy, passion, and knowledge of curaçao. Due to our group only having 6 people in it, we went to a smaller turtle beach called Daaibooi beach instead of the regular one. We had the beach area pretty much to ourselves and a couple of turtles hung around. With tons of fish. The tour offers snorkeling gear… we brought our own. Thou you will need water shoes for the first couple of feet getting into the water. After about 90 minutes we left and went to Kenapi beach. Amazing beautiful. There are stairs or a steep ramp to get down.

This was a wonderful excursion! Naomi had a great attitude and gave a lot of cool information while we were busing to the beach. Swimming with turtles was neat and Knippa beach was gorgeous. Highly recommend!

This isn’t worth the money. These activities are free and it would have been cheaper to rent a car and just drive. The only saving grace was the tour guide was funny.

There were so many sea turtles it was awesome, they were very up close. The beach was also beautiful. Our guide I think his name was Coco was super friendly. Only complaint is that the bus ride is super long, about 1 hr 45 mins, which can be a bit much in a bus without air conditioning. Our bus also broke down and we had to switch buses but they did everything they could to fix the issue quickly.

Overall, ok experience. The microphone on the bus kept going out, so we couldn't hear most of what the guide was saying. When we arrived at Turtle Beach, we were told to be back on the bus at a certain time, but not directed where to go to see the turtles. It wasn't until I decided to do a little exploring on my own that I noticed people gathering on the opposite side of the beach. By then, we unfortunately only had about 15-20 minutes left to try to swim with them. This was quite disappointing as this was the main reason we booked this excursion. The second beach we went to was beautiful, but not much fun for the kids. It was extremely crowded and the sand was covered in coral/rocks, so "playing" on the beach was not an option. The kids were bored after about 15 minutes there. I'm glad we had this experience, but if we went back to Curacao, we would visit Mambo beach instead. We chose not to go there because of the mixed reviews (and because we wanted to swim with turtles), but I think it would definitely be a more enjoyable experience for the kids.

The location is crowded and everything has an extra charge. Toilet? a buck, There is an assertive local on the dock who is 'feeding' the turtles to keep them close and wants ten dollars from people who are snorkeling. We avoided the dock and had a lovely time and observed 6-7 turtles with fewer people and fees. Our driver did not accompany us down to the beach, just turned us loose...would have perferred a guide down there. It was VERY busy. Wasnt' sure how clean the snorkle gear was. Guide was very good on the mic as we drove across the island. Traffic jam made for longer day and worried us about getting back in time but it worked out.

This trip was amazing. Please know that the caves have a lot of steps but are pretty cool. Turtle Beach - bring your snorkel and mask. Amazing fish and lots of turtles. Water is beautiful. The next beach was so beautiful. Our guide was full of info about the island. Would definitely book this again. Oh and remember it was an open air bus. Perfect for us even though it rained a bit. But heck! We were on vacation. We were back to port with plenty of time to explore the city.

Turtle Time in Paradise

This excursion was truly unforgettable. Swimming with the sea turtles in Curaçao was an absolute dream — they were everywhere, gliding around us and even swimming between our legs. The water was the most stunning shade of blue I’ve ever seen and felt like something straight out of a postcard. While the beaches were fairly crowded and all the seating was taken, and getting down to the beach wasn’t the easiest, none of that took away from the experience. Our group are all very avid cruisers and have done many excursions over the years, and this still ended up being one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. An incredible day we’ll never forget.

It was great being able to explore different parts of the island. Swimming with the turtles was amazing, they swam right around us, as was visiting the other beach. It was also great that they knew where the flamingos would be so we could see them in their natural habitat. However, it did seem very short at both beaches at about a hour. 1.5 or two hours at eat or at least one would have made for a better day but even still the guide was funny and the trip a good experience for first time to the island.

Anita and Alberto were amazing. They decided to take us to a different spot to ensure we had the best experience possible based on their expert knowledge of the area and OMG it was amazing. The turtles swim right up to you and you are not in a highly touristy area which was so much better. The 2nd stop was the most beautiful water we have seen. Anita kept us engaged while on the bus informing us along the way about things and was so funny. I highly recommend this tour. It is the perfect amount of time and such a great experience.

Amazing experience to swim with sea turtles in crystal clear water!! We also greatly enjoyed our tour guides knowledge sharing while on the open air bus between beaches and resort drop offs. The guide spoke multiple languages to satisfy all guests, and had a microphone so we could hear distinctly everything he said. At the last stop we were able to hunt some beach glass and drink fresh fruit smoothies (mango or guava were the best) on the beach.

The turtle swim definitely had turtles! Both beaches were so beautiful, and the water was so clear. We would have loved more time on both. You definitely need water shoes for the rocky shore.

Anita was our guide and Nadine was our driver. They were excellent! Watch for the turtles as soon as you get into the water. Also a pelican was diving and catching fish. The second beach we went to snorkel on the left side near the rocks. We saw some fish we have never seen before! Be careful get in and out of the ocean also on the left side is easiest. Anita was fun and gave us a lot of history about Curacao. Nadine was a safe driver. I would give both of them an A+!!

We were upgraded to the full day tour at no extra cost . Swimming with the turtles was amazing. The second beach resort was excellent with great facilities including reasonably priced cafe and infinity pool. The driver was very good giving information about the island and its culture

Confused having 2 guides. The driver was very knowledgeable about the history of the island. The other guide added information here or there. No one in the water when swimming and finding the turtles.

We initially signed up for this tour but were offered an upgrade to another tour as our original tour did not have enough people signed up. We were so grateful for this because we had the BEST day! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and gave us so much information about the island that we never would have gotten on our own. We got to see so much wildlife between the flamingos, sea turtles, birds and fish. It was one of the best days we had on the island. One nice thing about this experience is you can participate to your comfort level - for example, some of the people on our tour preferred to hang out on the beach while others went snorkeling with sea turtles. Our tour guide went above and beyond for us all day - sharing stories about the island and even making sure our belongings were covered when it started raining while we were snorkeling. We barely noticed the rain because we were having such a good time! We also liked that we were able to borrow snorkeling equipment throughout the day. Highly recommend!!

Swimming with turtles and snorkeling with Anita in Curaçao was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip. Anita is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the ocean and marine life.
