The Arctic Range tour guides were the absolute best anyone could ever imagine or experience. They were mostly world-wide foreign nationals on Canada short-term work visas with multiple language skills (English + at least one other). All were ultra friendly and very knowledgeable about local things of interest. Highly recommended to experience the tour guides regardless of whether the auroras appear. First two nights were cloudy/snowy and not much to see but the guides made it an enjoyable midnight outing anyway. Third night was a spectacular aurora display that totally stunned everyone including the tour guides. What a great show. Kudos to Arctic Range tours, and the Canada/Yukon governments, for supporting the visa program for foreign nationals seeking work as tour guides - it works! We can only hope that many of these guides chose to remain in Canada and continue their contribution to Canada's future. Good-on-you all.

Thank you Lori & Alexander, from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to share such a thoughtful message. It truly means a lot to our whole team to know that your experience felt meaningful and well cared for, even when nature had its own plans.
We were especially touched by your kind words about the support programs that allow our guides to be here. Your recognition of their journey and contributions is incredibly generous and affirming — they bring so much warmth, perspective, and passion to what they do, and we’re grateful you noticed that.
Your encouragement reminds us why we love what we do. Wishing you many more beautiful adventures ahead, and we’d be honored to host you again in the future. 💙

Don’t go to Whitehorse for Northern Lights, trust me as an Aurora Chaser who does this all over the world . Gorgeous Mountain View’s but terrible for Northern lights. I could go on and on about why but just trust me . It’s located to far south, mountains /landscape brings a lot of clouds/cloudy nights can’t see Aurora really through clouds. I was there for three weeks out all night every night 90% of the time all you get is a faint green arch low on horizon , not the shapes and movement that we all see on the gram and want to see. Go to Yellowknife is is so so amazing seen them every night dancing above my heads , pinks, yellows, purples so great.
Whitehorse is insanely overpriced as well friendly heads up.
Friendly staff, cozy yurts to warm up in while waiting for Aurora, fire pit in a to which was kinda cool. But other then that visit Yellowknife if you want to see awesome Aurora .

Good service and Guides are very warm welcome and supportive.Luckily we have faced Aurora 2 nights consecutively. That's very impressive as well.

Even the cold didnt take from the excitement of seeing the lights! The naked eye could only see tints of colour, but the camera picked up the colours beautifully. We did see the colours dancing across the sky. The huts were welcome with the fire, hot drinks, snacks and tables. Even some games to play if you wanted to. The Tee-pee was good roasting marshmallows too. Hosts were informative and helpful especially with camera settings. Tripods were provided as were folding chairs. A great tour!
