The Desert Dunes and dust tour company was incredible. They we were super accommodating for the cruise passengers. The country of Namibia implemented a visa requirement for visitor on April 1, 2025, which was confusing for the Norwegian Cruise line. It took us a long time to disembark from the ship and Volka who was our guide waited patiently for us. Volka was friendly and professional. He was very knowledgeable about the area. The kayaking with the seals was amazing. It was once in a life time experience which I highly recommend.

We were met exactly on time at Walvis Bay cruise terminal by Volker our guide.
The whole tour was seamless and the experience with the seals simply amazing.
We were a group of 4 people off the ship and over 100 days into a World Cruise, each of us agreed this was one of the most unforgettable experiences of the whole trip.
Several additional side stops to explain and see other natural wonders and overall an incredible 5 hours.
Thanks so much to Volker…….excellent job and we are all so grateful.

Had a great experience and the tour operator was so flexible and understanding. Our tour was booked for the 26th March, but a technical issue made our ship a day late arriving on the 27th March. They moved our booking enabling us to enjoy the fantastic tour. We were not expecting to see so many seals and wildlife but our guide Stephan went out his way to maximise our experience and day.

We have so many guests on cruise liners, so we adjust our pickup times to the arrival of the Cruise liner. Glad to hear we could make this day special for. The seals are so inquisitive and entertaining. A must do tour. Much appreciated. Uwe

According to the bad weather, our kayaking was cancelled. However, we still visited the pelican point by vechile instead. We saw a lot of seals and birds, and gained much knowledge about the animals. The guide is full of knowledge and experience, especially in birds. Generally speaking, we enjoyed this half-day activity.

we really seldomly cancel tours due to weather as it never rains here, but we had the hot desert wind blowing sand into the sea. These are our hottest days in the year and often in winter. Sorry that we could not go out kayaking , but lucky that you at least saw the seals and enjoyed it. wishing safe travels. Uwe

Tolles Erlebnis. Transfer vom Hotel zum Pelican Point zuverlässig und pünktlich. Wir haben viel über Land und Leute und die Tier-und Pflanzenwelt erfahren. Das Kayakfahren war toll und ein einmaliges Erlebnis. Die Robben kamen ganz nah, das hat Spaß gemacht. Auch die Autofahrt bis zum Pelican Point direkt am Meer war toll. Wir haben neben tausenden Robben auch viele Flamingos und Pelikane gesehen. Danke an den Guide Stefan!
