What a wonderful Safari! Our guide Nicholas was brilliant 👏 he was determined to find us a Rhino, and he did! Lots of other animals too. Breakfast served was delicious and pick up and drop off just meant the whole thing was simply unbeatable!

This morning’s tour was fantastic. My first safari and it did not disappoint. I was the only individual on the tour but the tour guide, Greemph, was very nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating (he turned around after finding out we missed the giraffe). We saw impalas, baboons, zebra, waterbucks, crocodiles, hippos, and giraffe! He provided coffee/tea and snacks along the river. It was great little spot to get out and stretch. Highly recommend! If there was any negative feedback to provide, the description of the tour should mention that the afternoon is the best time to see most animals (per the guide). If I had known that, I would have scheduled the later time slot.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We’re thrilled to hear that your first safari was such a memorable one and that it exceeded your expectations. It’s wonderful to know that Greemph made the tour special with his knowledge, flexibility, and thoughtful touches like coffee, tea, and snacks by the river. We’re also glad you had the chance to see such a great variety of wildlife including the giraffes! We truly appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the timing of the tour. Your suggestion about mentioning that the afternoon can be the best time to spot more animals is very helpful, and we’ll certainly take it into account as we work to improve our tour descriptions for future guests. Thank you again for the recommendation. We hope to welcome you back for another safari perhaps an afternoon one next time!

Great chance of seeing black rhino

    Jen_H, Nov 2025
This was a good way to spend an extra day in Victoria Falls. Booking is super easy and the service was great. One of the office staff showed up at our hotel before the driver just to make sure everything went according to plan. Victoria and Livingstone Private Reserve currently has 11 black rhino and we were fortunate to see one near a tower of giraffes. Also saw the usual suspects - kudu, white backed vulture, baboon, impala, plains zebra, open beaked stork and more. I had forgotten that it included breakfast in the bush so it was a nice surprise when we stopped for a sit-down meal. Cedric was our driver and very knowledgeable and prompt.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're glad the booking was smooth, the team provided excellent service, and the wildlife sightings—especially the black rhino—made your day special. We're also happy the bush breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Cedric will appreciate your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back to Victoria Falls soon.

Great for rhinos, not great for everything else

    Megan_L, Aug 2024
We chose this game drive after doing several others in National Parks that didn’t have rhinos. We got to see rhinos so were overall happy with the game drive. Additionally, the truck is quite nice compared to others we had ridden and the sunset drive had a nice selection of snacks and drinks. However, we didn’t see a lot of other animals - again, ok for us as we had been on others and seen everything else, but it seemed that there was a lower density of animals so may not be a great option for someone’s first game drive. Additionally, we had booked a 3pm game drive and the time got delayed 45 minutes; as we went in August when the sun sets at 6pm, this didn’t leave a lot of time for finding animals while it was still light out and there was no spotter to find animals during the part of the game drive when it was dark. As such, especially if going in the winter, I would say that the afternoon option isn’t worth the price.

    Response from Host, Aug 2024

Dear Megan Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent game drive with us. We appreciate your insights and are committed to providing the best possible experience for all our guests. We are delighted to hear that you were able to see rhinos during your game drive, as this is a highlight for many visitors. We also appreciate your positive comments about the truck and the selection of snacks and drinks provided. We understand that the density of animals can vary depending on various factors, and we apologize if you did not encounter as many other animals as you may have expected. We will continue to monitor wildlife populations and adjust our game drive routes accordingly. Regarding the delay in the start time, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We will investigate the reasons for the delay and take steps to prevent similar occurrences in the future. We acknowledge that the timing of the afternoon game drive may not be ideal during the winter months when the sun sets earlier. We will consider adjusting our game drive schedules to accommodate different seasons and optimize the experience for our guests. Thank you again for your feedback. We value your input and will use it to improve our services.

Wonderful seeing 2 black rhinos. The description needs to be rewriting from “dinner” to “adult beverages and appetizers served by the lake”. Which was a wonderful relaxing experience - sipping wine and again appetizers at Sunset by the lake, watching a black rhino and elephants.

    Rhino, elephants and more

First of all note this includes water, and a drink of choice (alcoholic or soft) plus some delicious snacks (samosa) but not dinner as per other review and reply but the description has still not changed Apart from that clarification, the tour was great, we had a pick up from the hotel about 330pm and met others at the Stanley and Livingston hotel to swap into the safari off roader, there was plenty of room. The safari itself started about 4pm. We saw giraffe, zebras, antelopes (lots) and also lots of buffalos. We wanted to see a rhino and it wasn't looking hopeful until about 630pm when we saw one, so that was great. After drinks and snacks by the lake and sunset(take mosquito spray) we saw 4 elephants. We finished safari around 8pm, and all the way back out guide was looking for wildlife. The guide (his name was Africa) was friendly and knowledgeable and I felt although expensive it was worth it to see a rhino in the wild. Thank you to Africa for sharing his knowledge and id recommended this tour to others.

We did the tour with a very qualified and stubborn ranger. He went round and round searching for a rhino that I has asked to see and we saw him. Little disappointed by the fact that the document said diner included and only received a snack.

    Response from Host, Apr 2024

We sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding the diner mentioned in the tour description. It seems there was a discrepancy between what was advertised and what was provided. We're taking immediate steps to update our materials to ensure complete accuracy and better reflect what's included in the tour.
