This is misadvertised.
I contacted viator to confirm the length of time before booking. Then asked the tour operator after booking and they said it was not accurate but that they would not refund me until after the booking date.
A couple days after the booking date, I had not been refunded so submitted for a refund and they only issued partial refund.
Beware of people / companies who do things like this.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’d like to clarify the facts for accuracy and fairness.
Before booking, you were informed that the safari timing depended on logistics, including travel distance, border procedures, and flight schedules. On the day in question, your international flight departure at 12:00 required airport check-in by 10:00, while Chobe is over an hour away from your accommodation. Under those circumstances, the safari you requested was logistically impossible, and this was communicated to you promptly and transparently.
As soon as this was established, I offered an alternative local safari and explained the process required to initiate refunds through the platform, which can only be actioned on the travel date. This is a platform limitation, not a refusal to refund.
Despite this, you submitted a “no-show” claim while I was actively conducting another scheduled safari, and before I could complete the promised action. Nevertheless, I proceeded to issue a refund, followed shortly by the full balance, in good faith.
Any initial description that required clarification regarding the 6-hour duration (which applies within Botswana and excludes transfers and border time) was corrected immediately to avoid future confusion. At no point was there an intention to mislead.
I respect the right of travelers to share experiences. However, posting duplicate reviews from multiple accounts and omitting key logistical facts does not reflect the full or accurate picture. My overall review history demonstrates consistent, reliable service delivery, which speaks louder than a single disputed experience.
